Jess paused for a moment, taking in the situation, before stepping lightly up to the human. She sniffed her hand, and pausing yet again, before gently licking the treat off her. She then looked up at her, with a slight wag of the tail. She tilted her head, as if wondering why this human was nicer than the ones she had experienced before.

"thats a good girl" tara gently stroking the dog as she picked up the treat "see that wasnt so hard was it?"

Charlie raised an eyebrow, biting her lip. She stood up and grabbed Jake's shoulders, turning him around "Don't look." She instructed, quickly changing into her nightgown. She climbed onto the bed and lay down, sighing and closing her eyes. "What did you mean before? Response to what?" She asked again, looking down at Jake.

Jess waged her tail as she was stroked, and yipped a little, now walking by the humans heels. She already liked this one, she was nice, not like the others. She didn't yell at her or hurt her.
"She's really nice." Jess said as she walked up to the beagle, waging her tail slightly, her emerald eyes shining.

"you should come with us" she replied "i think we are heading back to the house now, you will be able to have some real food there"

Amelia finished her second pint of whiskey and was about to turn around for another until someone muttered something to her "Well hello there" a rough voice spoke causing her to turn her head "Hello" she replied with a slight huff. "So what you doing here alone?" He questioned "Having a drink" she muttered. "Well a young woman shouldn't be out here alone" he smirked "I can look after myself.." She muttered in an annoyed tone "You know I could take you somewhere safer?.." He muttered. Rolling her eyes she gave him a look of disgust and stood up "Yeah course you could." She snapped walking up the stairs to go to the bathroom.
Something grabbed her arm and pulled her slightly causing her to turn "Come on" the man smirked his large size blocking the stairway "I'm going no where" she muttered pulling her arm for it to only be gripped tighter "Come on" he insisted "No" she shouted "Ok your annoying be just come on!" He scolded tightening hin grip on her arm and tugging her towards the top of the stairs. "Get off me!" She screamed kicking him in the shin and punching him once he let go, drawing out a small pistol she pointed it towards him "You wanted to mess? Now try it I swear I'll blow your brains out.." She muttered gritting her teeth "N-no ma'am you don't need to do that, i-i was only foolin' " he said in a slight paniced tone. "Then I suggest you run away fool, or keep a fair distance." She spat narrowing her eyes and walking away leaving him to jump up and go downstairs. Going into the bathroom she done her busines then looking in the mirrow fixing her hair. Letting out a sigh she walked out the door and sat on the top step, rubbing her hands through her hair.


Brindle tilted her head as they seemed interested in the black and white collie shrugging her shoulders she shrugged slightly and padded back into the corner of the porch. Laying down she placed her head back on her paws, her tail tapping against the wood. Brindle began to slowly drift into a sleep.

Jake chuckled as she turned him, laying down on the floor and pulling the quilt over him. "I don't remember." He yawned.

Elizabeth gently crawls into bed with Billy, curling up and worming into his arms, closing her eyes tight

Jess considered the offer, and then smiled. "Ok" she said nodding her head. She looked up at the human with a tilt of her head, in such a way it looked like she was asking permission.

"cmon girl" she said to the collie "sorry juliette but youre walking this time" tara said mounting her horse and starting to walk looking down every few minutes to make sure the dogs were following. they rode just out of town and came to a small stone house.

"so whats your name?" juliette questioned the new dog as they were walking back
