Well, you have well over 300 posts, and i see you post around a lot, so I'm not surprised people recognize you.~ I lurk more than anything, so I'm a bit of a ninja and nobody knows who I am. |D

I'm like that too. For some reason when I see a familiar name I get a surge of happiness. Maybe it's just the feeling that people aren't unique to one place that makes people excited. Seeing a random username on a random website is one thing, but knowing that the owner of the name moves around and is present in many places as a real person is, I guess is just the cool part.

Funny, this happened to me today. The person was like "OH MY GAWD YOUR HUGRF" and I just tried to respond politely. First time this happened... I feel good now that I'm well known really, because I'm never paid attention to at all and I feel left out a lot.
Familiar names that you don't see often can make you go excited, and you want to talk to the person to get to know them.
Just be polite when people get excited, eh? I think it's nice for people to be like this X3
You do have 300 posts which could make you seem a bit popular.
And you are a pretty good member in the community, so they probably get excited.
And when I see a rare face, I try not to get too excited and probably talk to them if I'd like to, if I wasn't busy. Though people are different, so they have different reactions. ;)

Haha, It is a small world in FH after all. I'm more of a lurker, similar to MadMoai.

I think the thanking and sudden change of tone and feeling comes from the fact that you're impressed and thankful for the map creator, and thus they'll be surprised to see you and will chase after you to talk to you. They wouldn't know how to express their feelings calmly, so they'll be rather hyper.

and honestly, I'd actually prefer being not well known, because i'm horrible at socialising. XD

Yeah, that's happened to me before many times. I don't think much of it, really.

I see many of the higher posting members hanging around in flourite plains, and when I see a familiar name in the chat I just think to myself, "Oh hey, there's (insert username here)..." And just kinda move on with whatever I'm doing. I believe I've seen your name in general chat a few times, and I just think that the users who do make a name for themselves, such as having thousands of forum posts or some other amazing feat, deserve our utmost thanks and respect for helping to make this game great. :3

*Peeks in* ....
Well.. Yea, it happens.. A lot.
Most of the time it can be rather cute and nice to have friendly people around to talk to you.
Yet, there are always those who are going to cross the line and get on your nerves eventually.
I honestly don't know if it gets easier to be patient and deal with things,
or if things simply get more annoying/frustrating with time.

However I always do welcome new people to talk to me and such,
as long as they respect mine and my friends' personal space.
RETIRED.
