Dissia opened her eyes as her magic tugged and bothered her from her sleep. Upon waking, she managed to see a black cat standing near the entrance of the ice cave, peeking out into the forest.
The unusually dark forest that now seemed to have blood on a few trees.
Frowning and narrowing her eyes, the sorceress got up and summoned her staff, walking slowly towards the feline. Lazuria didn't turn, but acknowledged her presence with a sharp flick of her tail, sea green eyes focused on the strange forest. Not speaking, Dissia looked up to see the black night sky. Someone, something was out there. Her magic wouldn't bother her for no reason otherwise. Nervously chewing on her lower lip, she pointed the tip of her staff to a random spot on the black - Now she could see, it was completely black - ground, and a steady stream of light came, like a torchlight. There, the black scuttled away like insects - Maybe it was insects - and revealed the simple dark green grass that belonged there. A small growl erupted in the distance, as though something had disturbed it. Lazuria moved to jump on a random rock outside, staring intently at the ground, ears perked and alert.
Degare flicked his ears at a growl, slitted eyes widening with curiosity. Without a word, he bounded off the tree branch onto another bigger one, head tilted up slightly to survey the area. It had gotten darker, was the first thing he noticed. And it wasn't because of the night. Maybe he should go back to the Battlefield...He knew nothing about the forest, which was a disadvantage. The tip of his tail suddenly erupted into a small fire, lighting up what little space it could. He looked around again, unfamiliar dread sinking into his bones. Crap, where was he?
