As the rising sun began to cast its orange glow on the savannah, Saka slowly blinked awake with a tired groan. He parted his maw wide in a long yawn and quietly lifted his head. The scent of meat drifted into the hyena's nostrils, making him lick his maw. He perked his rounded ears in surprise after noticing the tore open jackal carcass that was neatly placed beside him. Wagging his short tail, he pulled the mutilated carcass closer to him and wasted no time before ripping into it.
