Welcome to the RP! @CoffeeAdict, it's fine, Hahas. xD))

Scarlette nodded, watching as Luke carved out the arrow. Clever, she thought, quickly following after the boy as he walked forward. Her ruby eyes flicked over to Eric, before back to their target - The house that Luke was currently heading to. Her smile dropped, but her steps never faltered, continuing to keep up behind the teen, crossing her arms slightly as her fingers once again tugged at her sleeves.

Rak'zel frowned, spinning on his heels gracefully, beginning to walk in the other direction. He was stopped short, however, when he was jerked roughly back. He didn't need to turn to know that Decimus had grabbed his jacket. He immediately thought of removing said jacket, but when he was jerked back, he could feel rough-skinned fingers pushing against the back of his neck as well. Sneaky goat. He had grabbed his jacket and his shirt. He would have to be half naked to escape Decimus, though it would most likely be failed. This man was basically a bear compared to Rak. Muttering a half-hearted threat, he let himself be dragged for a moment, before fully turning around and shrugging the grabbing hand off with a "I can walk by myself.".

Decimus had really expected the brat to do that. He let go - rather reluctantly - and gave a small glare at his raven haired adoptive brother, who managed to return the glare - ten times worser. He rolled his eyes, unaware that said brother did the same, fixing his eyes back on the now moving figures. He had half a mind to yell at them to wait up, but thought better of it, instead picking up his pace as to not lose them. He turned his head to make sure that Rak was keeping up, and surprisingly, he was. Strange, he would've thought that the boy would stay his own pace. Deciding not to question it, he focused on his task, though his hand was ready to grab his brother again.

Erica just raised her brow and spun in a little circle, then stopped and frowned in the opposite direction from where they were going. "-Removed by Moderator-," she muttered. She gave the two boys coming in her direction a sharp look, then ran to join the others; her dog, Rocky, stayed behind a little to growl and bark once at the pair, then ran off to join Erica.

"Two teenage boys coming this way. One looks like he has some probs," she said, catching up with Scarlett and Luke. "So, looking for food?" She ducked into a house as she said so, Rocky closely following her. "Let's see..." a voice from the inside said. "Wanna burrito? Or maybe pizza? Cantalupe? Uh, lasagna? Pasta? Even cheeseburgers...." Then there was a distinct gobbling sound. "One cheeseburger gone! A piece of lasagna gone! Come get it while you can!" Erica winked into the darkness. "This place is a restaurant." She stopped. "In real life."

Scarlette inclined her head slightly, just enough to look behind. "Survivors?" She muttered, raising a brow slightly. She looked back at the building - A restaurant, as Eric had claimed - and walked in,  eyes widening in surprise when the amount of food was mentioned. So they managed to survive the explosion, fortunately. "We should save some." She stated, in case they wouldn't be able to be as lucky and find another large amount of food.

Rak'zel's green eyes narrowed at one who had seemed to notice them - Well, the dog certainly did. He scoffed. "Look, they have a dog. Let's get mauled to death, eh?" He mumbled, glaring at the shape of the dog before it shot off to join it's master, who had apparently gone into a restaurant. Sniffing, he adjusted his coat, finally stopped dragging his feet and putting an abrupt ending to the scraping noise.

Decimus raised a questioning brow at his brother, but couldn't help the smile that crept onto his face. Rak wasn't fond of dogs, he found that out last time. He was more into cats - heck, he sometimes acted like one. His gracefulness certainly mimicked them, he thought. The older watched the dog run off into the restaurant, frowning slightly when the scraping noise stopped. He snuck a glance at his younger brother, and saw the uncertainty in his eyes. Almost like a deer stepping into a bear's cave. Rak's steps faltered slightly when they got closer to the restaurant, slowing his pace, strides getting shorter. Decimus knitted his brows together. Perhaps he wasn't good with others? The lady did mention something about bullying and only having that one friend as a guardian. His frown deepened. One thing was for sure, though. Rak'zel was a master at hiding his emotions. His face was very impassive, as if it was nothing.

"Hum-de-dum-de-dum... well, you can." Erica winked at Scarlett, her face showing that she was hiding something. "This is not the best restaurant, most certainly not!" Rocky danced around, sniffing for more food. He snatched some blueberry pie off the counter. "Feast, anyone?" Erica grinned. "This is what you get when you know the city right-side-up and upside-down." She glanced outside nervously, and saw that the pair were coming closer. When she turned back around, she was smiling again.

Inside the building, Thalia crawled through a hole in a crushed cupboard, feeling bruised all over. She stopped, hearing voices. She got up, staggering. She was trapped in a dark room, but, stopping a door, she knelt besides it, listening.

((I added two more flaws to Apitre's profile since I felt like she was on the verge of joining the Evil Mary Sue forces. o.o))

The scowl had worn off Luke's face into worry lines, speaking of the concern he was holding within himself. He glanced sharply at the distant pair of young men that were quickly approaching the restaurant they all were in, and the knot in his stomach tightened as he jerked his head back to Scarlette and Erica. "We don't have time for this," he insisted. "Eat as much as you need to, but we need to find a bag." His eyes moved to the storage room before he rested his gaze upon the large varieties of food the building had to offer. A disgusted look stained his face as he shook his head. "We need food that doesn't perish quickly." Without waiting for the girls' replies, he headed off towards the storage room, roughly grasping the doorknob and attempting to push the door open. However, there seemed to be a weight pressing against it. He frowned and pressed a little harder. The door gave in slightly, but it suddenly shut against him.

Frustration welled up in Luke's chest, and he shoved his entire weight against it. The door suddenly gave way as a sharp cry rang in his ears, and muscle slapped against tile as he slammed into the floor.

~*~

Fear overwhelmed Apitre as she stared down at the motionless body in front of her. She untangled her fingers from the doorknob and held her hands in front of her face, seeing that they were shaking. In fact, her entire body was vibrating from the shock that caused her eyes to widen. Her bottom lip slightly trembled, and she took a step back into Jinx's solid body that pressed comfortingly against her.

"Is ... Is he dead?" she whispered to her brother, barely able to get the question out. She tossed a frightened glance up at him, but he was shaking his head and staring at the boy lying face down on the floor. He had stretched another one of his emotionless masks over his face again. Frustration pricked at her. She hated it when he did that - it made it so hard for her to know what he was thinking.

A groan suddenly broke the silence, and Apitre quickly adjusted her gaze to the boy, who was now slowly rising into a sitting position. She watched numbly as he rubbed his arm and drew his fingers across his face as a dark scowl rose in his eyebrows.

Scarlette raised a brow at Luke. Was he panicking? Sniffing, she nodded in reply to his words, eyes now searching the area for transportable food. A bowl of fruits resting rather precariously on the edge of a counter caught her eye, and she walked over to it. The ruby eyed girl cringed when a loud sound was heard, like a body falling. Quickly moving over to the storage room, she froze at the sight of the door opened slightly, eyes deciding to rest on the fortunately conscious body of Luke, unaware of the other two people in the room. "Luke, you alright?"

Decimus frowned at the sound of something falling, his steps suddenly quickening until he was at a jog, quickly coming to a stop at the entrance of the restaurant - or what looked like an entrance. His blue eyes moved first to Eric, then to the silver haired girl before moving to the storeroom door. He attempted to put on a smile, which wasn't too hard. "Uh, hello." He spoke sheepishly, aiming the greeting to Eric.

Rak struggled to keep up with his tall, long-legged brother, and soon enough he too was jogging. He stopped a tiny distance away from Decimus, though, choosing to stay behind and let his brother do all the talking. Which usually didn't end up well. Rak was the one talented with words, Decimus was the one with actions. He nervously pretended to fix his jacket to distract himself, paying no heed to the strangers. Including the bigheaded dimwit.

Scarlette's voice echoed behind Luke, and he jerked his head to face her, hiding a wince as a sharp pain flashed across his forehead. "Of course I'm alright," he muttered, slowly moving his limbs to make sure nothing was broken. When no pain erupted from his bones, he slightly relaxed and heaved himself to his feet, dusting off his jeans. "I just fell, that's all." He adjusted his glare to the frightened brunette pressed up against her brother, but it hurt his head to frown, and he let his anger fall from his face. "We now have more survivors," he announced flatly, moving to push past them, but he stopped as dizziness seized him. Maybe he would have to wait a few more minutes to recover from the fall. Great, he thought. Just what I need. He reluctantly slowed down his movements as he carefully shuffled his way around the siblings before grabbing a large bag.

Yanking the zipper open, Luke peered inside and was relieved to see that they was nothing inside. He shoved the empty bag into Scarlette's arms. "Here," he said. "See if there's any canned foods. I'll find another bag, seeing that we have more mouths to feed." The rudeness laced in his words was directed to the girl and her brother. He rummaged through a few more boxes before finding a backpack, but by then, he was forced to sit on the floor for a few minutes to wait for the pounding headache to subside. He hoped his head would be fine by the end of the day.

~*~

She didn't like the boy with the black hair. She had already decided that the moment he shot a glare through her, and she was slightly happy when he had to stop for some unknown reason. It probably was his head that forced him to erase all his emotions from his face, just like her brother. She tried to move towards the door and out into the restaurant where she heard voices, but Jinx's strong arms were restraining her. A slight frown arched across her slender eyebrows, and she struggled for a while before finally breaking free of his grip. Before he could catch her again, she darted out the door, past the silver-haired girl, and found herself facing strangers.

Apitre blinked as the frown disappeared from her face, and a curious look settled over her. She moved her gaze to each face, searing them into her memory before her attention drifted to a tall man standing apart from the rest of the group. He appeared to be fiddling with his jacket for no reason. He didn't look very mean; in fact, he looked almost nervous. She cautiously approached him, staying a safe distance away before she gained the courage to murmur, "Hello."

~*~

Annoyance flashed through Jinx as Apitre broke away from his grip. As he lunged forward in attempt to grab her once more, his fingers brushed against her sweater, but she had already disappeared before he could close his hand around her. A growl rose in his throat as he tried to go after her, but the silver-haired girl was standing in the doorway. He was too big to slip past her, like Apitre had, and he decided his only option would be to shove past her - and shove past her, he did. Perhaps he had been a little too forceful, but that was not of his concern. Without turning to see if she had fallen or not, he hurried after his rapidly disappearing sister, but he immediately froze when he saw where she had ran off to.

It was a room. Full of people.

"Oh, bothersome company!" Jinx snarled underneath his breath, keeping to the shadows and growling as his sister stood frozen in the middle of the room. A shard of shock seared into him as Apitre started off towards a man fiddling around with his jacket. He narrowed his eyes at the man. A psychopath. It was definitely a psychopath. That's why he was keeping away from the rest of the group. Jinx didn't like the looks of him. He appeared queer, and queer was what he would remain for as long as he lived. "Oh, Apitre, don't you dare!" he hissed, even though she couldn't hear him. "Take one step closer to that maniac -"

Jinx's fingers clenched into fists as Apitre's greeting to the psychopath rang through his head.

Scarlette yelped slightly when she was shoved, hand immediately feeling around for support. She caught herself just in time by grabbing the edge of the counter, sending a glare at the stranger, though he couldn't see it. She shook her head and growled in irritation, but turned her attention back to Luke. Sighing, she nodded. The silver haired girl wearily watched Luke for a moment, pondering on whether to help him, but thought against it and was soon rummaging through the restaurant, easily finding canned foods in the cupboards and shelves. Her mind was still worried about the two new strangers- No, four, seeing as the two boys had already made it here. She let somebody else take care of them, while she stayed focused on her task.

Rak'zel didn't reply for a moment, green eyes stilled fixed on his jacket, thinking that the greeting was directed at somebody else. His brother, definitely. But when no reply came, he dared to lift his gaze, which immediately locked onto the brown haired girl nearby. His fingers twisted silently in the leather of his jacket when he also realized that the 'Maniac' the other voice had been speaking about was him as well. A scowl immediately went on his face, gaze shifting to another boy behind. He glared. "Greetings, to both you and your dimwitted friend." He muttered, eyes never leaving his insulter. (TotallyAWord.)

Decimus frowned slightly at the commotion, eyes moving from Eric to Rak'zel, then to the two siblings. His brows knitted together at the words coming from the other boy, before inclining his head to glare at his younger brother when the usual words came out. "Rak'zel..." he muttered, eyes moving to the two strangers. "Excuse me for my brother's harsh attitude." He smiled sheepishly, repressing a sigh when he heard a soft, very mumbled "I'm not your brother" coming from Rak.

Thalia jumped back when a person forced the door down. At once, she realized that she was trapped, with nowhere to go, except into a room full of people. She heard somebody saying for everybody to grab packaged foods. She snatched a bag off the shelf, and threw it out the doorway. There was silence.

"Uh, freeze-dried lasagna, anyone?" Erica offered, staring at the package that had just flown out of the doorway.
