Lightningpaw listened quietly to the leaders. Her ear twitched slightly as Gorsestar didn't mention her name. I rather be unknown for now, because they won't expect me. She decided. Lightningpaw acted calm as she listened to Cardinalstar, but she blinked a little. I don't recall smelling Cliffclan in are territory. Well, I haven't seen the whole territory... Lightningpaw glanced at a Freezeclan apprentice who's chest was puffed out. Bonestar had said his name was Plantpaw. "He sure looks bold." She muttered. She returned her gaze to the leaders, waiting for the last report.

Lightstep paid close attend to all the leaders, her tail neatly wrapped around her paws. She remained respectful and quite, despite any reaction either of these cats would make. She just wanted to remain on everyone's good side, so the she-cat always remained quite, soft-spoken.

Fortis Animam watched the gathering. He could hear mewing but couldn't make the words out exactly. Suddenly yowling pierced his spotted ears. Probably a new apprentice or warrior being named. He leapt off the cave, and walked into it. He curled up on a piece of moss and went to sleep.

Lightningpaw's tail swished on the ground. She flicked her paw and began licking the pad of it. She suddenly remembered what some Vineclan cats told her. Let see, the black-and-white tom is Bonestar of Freezeclan, and Cardinalstar of Cliffclan, Weedstar of Waterclan, and of course  Gorsestar of Vineclan. Bonestar had a mate named S..Snowbreeze, I think. Lightningpaw thought she sensed something watching them, but it suddenly stopped. Is there something here I don't know of? She looked around, wondering what had been watching her. The clans. But it didn't seem like a threat. I'll ask when I get a chance. She decided.

     Weedstar glanced around. Gorsestar seemed a little upset with Cardinalstar. Not that she didn't blame him, the tom was often lying of his clan's actions. Flicking her tail she stepping up to the speaking spot. "WaterClan is faring well. The ice has been thick over the rivers and ponds but my warriors will soon break through it so we can fish. All of our kits, eldrs and queens are well fed as well as our warriors and apprentices." Weedstar finished and walked back to her spot.

     The large tom's tail flickered with annoyance. He disliked her as much has he hated a tick in the one spot where a cat couldn't reach. He knew his own warriors were suffering from sickness, but Weedstar had said they did have a fully stocked fresh kill pile. Maybe he could send a quick warrior out to spy on their camp to see if the dark she-cat was telling the truth. If it was he'd lead a small raiding party to steal their prey out from under their noses. The plan seemed eligible to try.

Gorsestar nodded and stepped forward once again. "The gathering is over. You have have a while tilk your clan leaves to socialize. Enjoy it." He said and flicked Cardinal star in the ear then made his way down the large fallen tree. He glanced behind him at Cardinalstar and grinned.

Lightstep actually felt a bit of relief go through her as she realized that she didn't really have to worry about that river if she ever encountered a Waterclan warrior. The girl then blinked, immediately feeling bad... as she realized this was bad for the cats, and the girl just glanced around again. Her eyes laid on Lightningpaw, blinking her eyes curiously at the apprentice as the cat looked around... and than she took her gaze back to the leaders, her stance going nice and proper again as she sat nice and straight. When the leader called that the announcements were over, she just glanced around, seeming a bit lost.




Runningleap


Runningleap sat with a sat at the gathering, being slightly near Lightstep who was always a kind cat at the gatherings. It didn't hurt to socialize a bit, right? After the serious matters of course. The tom's bored gaze went from cat to cat, sighing slightly as the Waterclan leader spoke, seeming like he would fall asleep any moment. Thank Starclan the announcements were over. His bi-colored gaze went from cat to cat, slightly laying on the siamese for a second, before forcing his gaze away.

     As Gorsestar gave him a mocking grin Cardinalstar fixed him with a glare that would frighten even a noble StarClan cat. If WaterClan doesn't work out your's is the next target! he said silently in his head, still glaring at the other leader. Seeing as though no CliffClan cats had come to the gathering except one she-cat he flicked his tail for her to come. As they trotted back to the territory quickly Cardinalstar immediately started giving out orders upon his arrived at Cliffclan camp.
"Roosterglow." he called.
"Yes sir?" the she-cat rushed up.
"You are pretty fast right?"
Yes sir, I once outran an angry patrol of VinceClan warriors. They're waaay too slow even though the are considered the fastest cats of the clans." she grinned
"Good, I need you to search out Waterclan's camp, I need to know if their fresh-kill pile is actually as full as they say it is. Go a few hours before dawn, they'll be tired due to them being at the gathering. Their eyes will be dazed and they won't see you sniffing around. Don't venture too close, stay at the camp border."
"Yes sir." Roosterglow's paws tingled with excitement.
"Also, before you leave stop by the Medicine Cat den and see if she has any strengthening herbs to spare before you go. I suggest you go to your nest soon. You need to be sharp for this assignment." Cardinalstar recomended.
