The Labs (DNA/Gifted Roleplay Accepting)

     "To be honest, you look like crap." She said, scratching the back of her ear.

May sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Worth it though.  Learned something I didn't know before."  She said softly, hoping Helga wouldn't hear.

     "Like what?" She whispered.

"I don't think this place is an island like they say.  I saw the outside though a window, it doesn't look very islandy to me."  She said.  She shifted her weight on the ground, wondering if they were going to do something.  Were they going to let her wound get infected?  At least go on to Asher, she didn't like how they just weren't doing anything.

     Yumi blinked as she climbed up to the window between rooms and tossed the bottle of water into May's cell. "Clean the wound. Can't have it getting infected." She blinked, then jumped down, landing on her bare feet once again.
     Geist knew the reason. So long as the girls didn't challenge her, Yumi was fine and quite motherly.

May smiled softly once Yumi had left.  Maybe she could get along with his girl.  She shifted into her human form.  It was harder to change when wounded and took a bit longer.  She picked up the bottle of water and carefully cleaned out the wound.  She had no idea what to do with the bullet, so she just pulled the thing out, which was followed by more blood.  Again she cleaned it out.  She used her pillow case to tie it up.  It didn't matter, someone came about every week to take out the dirty stuff anyway.

     Yumi blinked and stared up at the ceiling of her cell.

(Has Helga forgotten about Asher?)

Asher started to trace circles in the floor for no apparent reason.  Not looking up at May he asked,
"Why do you try?"
May turned quickly toward him.
"Why?  Because I want out of this hell whole!" She said madly.  Asher flinched but didn't move away.
"But you only succeed in hurting yourself." He said softly.
"You wouldn't understand, you can't remember anything else but this place.  Why don't you just go back to your corner and prune those feathers like you always do."  May said rudely.  Asher gave up and moved away from her but didn't do as she said.  He keeled down in about the middle of his cell and traced random things on the ground.  It didn't make any lines, but it did in his mind.

     Yumi blinked as she glanced around her cell. She could see shadows outside her door.

     Helga blinked as she knocked on Asher's door. "Coming in." She said, blinking.

Asher leaned backward a little and raised his shoulders in a lame attempt to become smaller.  His face showed hardly held back fear and his face paled.  He also wilfed, which came from the bird part of him.  His feathers seemed to shrink as they flattened onto his back.
