In the midst of her thinking, she was interrupted by a jolly voice of another dog who looked and smelled like a husky. Cynder mildly jerked back, since her first thought as it would attack her for something since the dogs here weren't thinking straight often. At the familiar glare of the female, Cynder relaxed her scrunched up muzzle and wiped her nose with her paw.

"I don't exactly know, a fight broke out. Nothing big." Relaxing her chin on her forepaws, her amber eyes stared up at the hybrid. She wasn't a very social dog, and this was pretty awkward for her. Busying herself, the dog started to trim her dewclaw, nipping away at her paw.

Ace snagged down what was left of dry puppy food he was given, disgustingly slapping his tongue over his nose in attempt to get rid of the stinky dropping-like food. It was better then eating your paw, though. His lower metal jaw clicked in place with his top one as his tail slashed the air. The male emmited a huff from his robotic vocal cords, extending his gait as he rushed towards the little place outside of their usually blank rooms. His paws hit dirt, kicking up faint dust trails as the male trotted onward and forward until he found a suitable place to nap.

Kystine looked at Shadow, her head turning the moment she heard more paw-steps. Seemed a lot of dogs wanted in on the commotion? She had eyed the dog who had come forth, and her body froze. Her tail had thumped against the nervously- and she had averted her gaze- the malamute did not like her, not one bit- every chance he'd get, he'd be sure to try and mortally wound her- unlike the other dogs who didn't care what they injured. He was the cause and effect of her slightly scarred eye- wounds that had almost healed were ripped apart by the earlier dog- making her wince lightly each time she blinked.

The young canine however was baffled- when Shadow turned and had defended her, she had continued blinking in surprise- and watched as Zephra  moved in front of her- seeming quite prepared to defend her should the malamute try anything. She had watched in surprise from afar- watching as the other chased off the malamute. She couldn't believe two dogs that she had just met were willing to protect her like that. That thought had sent happiness through her body, and instantly- she was up, her tail wagging happily behind her- and her rump moving with it at such an act of kindness- her true, bubbly personality beaming, she had calmly trotted up to the male- and had given a bow of her head. "Thank you for defending me." She had turned to Zephra. "You too."

She looked at the males forehead though, and had gave a frown- looking at him. "But- now your hurt." Kystine had said, now feeling a bit guilty. Funny how she would turn into a completely different dog when on patrols- yet here she was as defenseless as ever. An actor in her prime.

Kystine had a slight flashback- when she was a pup, she was often bullied by the other dogs- yet one day, another wolf- this time, a completely pure wolf had defended her, taking her in and becoming her mentor, her mother figure- and a friend. Kyst was still a bit sad that her plan in escaping had failed, but not before she had told Kystine the weaknesses in the overall structure of the city. The thoughts of escaping filled her mind- before she shook her head, and backed up away from the two- quickly shifting from her outburst of happiness. If only it was better times- she would have most likely been the happiest dog around, friendly and out-going- but due to how dark the world had become, she had become a fearful, skittish dog.

She had moved back into a sit- her nature not completely gone. Most of her nervous attitude had been removed- and she was now sitting up straight- her tail still in a constant wag behind her. Her head turned to the other dog behind them, yet she turned back towards the two- looking at Zephra who was showing submission. She had offered a friendly 'smile'- as dogs smile, before turning her head to glance up as the sound sound of a 'swoosh' filled her ears. The sound of the back door, the one for the Mechs opening had startled her, and she had stood up immediately. Some dogs also seemed alerted, but some didn't care.

A mechanical dog strolled into the kennels through the special door that seemed to be built only for them- the button which opened said door was only responsive to their paw-print, so other dogs wouldn't get out. Four other mechanical dogs followed, and they gave a chilling bark, causing all the dogs to run over- prepared to listen. There actions seemed to be quick and jittery- as if they had to rush to get out what they had to say. The humans were controlling them- which made Kystine wonder what made them rush. One mechanical dog- which was known as the alpha doberman strolled forward- he was bigger than all of the mechanical dogs- and power seemed to radiate from him.

He had opened his jaws to speak quickly- words spilling from his mouth quickly- yet in a firm tone. "Patrols are going starting early today, a group of rebels are causing chaos all over the city- they have retreated somewhere in the city. This is a large group of rebels- so you will be traveling in groups of five to find and take down the criminals. We have one dog who will be added into a group- so six will be traveling together." Some dogs groaned in the background- while some barked, hoping that they were picked to go on patrol.

The alpha doberman had gave a loud, growl- one which had meant to say 'quiet', this sound had quickly silenced the  dogs who were causing such a ruckus. The alpha had looked over all the dogs, before he had nodded to the other Mechs, who were waiting to organize groups. "Kystine, Zephra, Shadow, Ace, Alever, and Chance are group one. They will investigate Uptown." The alpha had said- the mechanical dogs seeming to be following a silent order seemed to herd the group together- the alpha watched this before walking to a different area- calling other dogs over.

"Listal, Panzer, Bandit, Cynder, and Salaki will be group two, and will investigate downtown." The alpha then looked to the rest- as his comrades did the same to group two. "The rest are doing training with us. We want to allow the other dogs to get their chance at proving themselves. Report back here when the sun goes down, you have plenty of time. The criminals must be dead when you bring them back here." Then with that, the alphas left- leaving the back door open that led to the city, while taking the other dogs with them. Kystine turned her head- looking at Zephra and Shadow. "Early patrols? Not fun."

Upon hearing the noisy robotic noises those Doberman gave, Cynder flattened her body with the ground, hearing her name. A sigh flew out of her tightly pressed snout before getting back up on her haunches. "Early patrols are dumb." She muttered out, careful not to trigger a response in the Doberman chief thus keeping her voice toned down in a whisper. "Guess we're going together!" Her tail thumped at the floor, ears flickering at the female hybrid.

Right before Ace fell into a light sleep, he was interrupted by the mech sounds of robotic paws tattering against the dirt. His ears fell back, the robotic one lazily clicking into place on his scalp. Pulling himself up, the Mallinois gave himself a quick shake and eyed the other dog, sliding his tongue out to lick his metallic bottom jaw. He would be traveling with some dogs he actually recognized, but never formally met before. Shaking his head briefly, the sooty male padded over to the group of dogs. (Kystine, Zephra, Shadow) "'Ello there, seems like I'm with you guys." His voice was slightly scratchy, but kept in a friendly tone when he spoke to other dogs.

the male Rottweiler turned his attention over to the mechanical dobermans, his right eye narrowed as he slightly walked towards the human-controlled mechanical dogs for a few seconds, his ears perked as he listened to the lead Doberman.
"listal, panzer, bandit, cynder, salaki"
at the mention of the names of dogs going on group two, panzer only respond with a nod before watching the alpha leave the area. Once the lead Doberman left, the black and tan dog turned his attention to the back door which leads to the city. a large group of rebels loose......last thing I need is to be attacked by them.....it'll be like dancing with death he thought, muscles tensed as he waited for the dogs chosen for group two.

Bandit's shadow looked distorted in the morning light. His right eye's gaze was still locked onto the group of dogs who'd assembled around the original white almost-wolf and the other was spinning wildly in it's socket letting him only get glimpses of things. To a normal dog, this would probably make them dizzy enough to vomit up their breakfast, but Bandit had gotten used to it. He rarely threw up anymore.

Just as the male had finally made his decision to go see what the commotion was, the Alpha Mechs had turned their rotten heartless faces up. He listened in a bored manner, one ear flicked forward and the other backwards, his eyelids drooping. The only point the Mechs made that had interested Bandit enough to perk up was the patrol listing. As his name was called with five others that was when his attention was taken. Almost at once there was a metal nose prodding at his side quite hard--more than enough to get the skinny dog to his feet. He bit back the urge to snap as that would truly only result in his teeth cracking on the shiny metal surface. He was herded over closer to the cluster of dogs he'd been eyeing earlier. He received a sharp bite to the tail when he stumbled on a small dirt mound.

Two female dogs were there already. There was Cynder, who, as Bandit recalled, shared his room with him, and also another who Bandit wasn't sure of. He'd seen her around but he hadn't interacted with her much as he remembered. When the Mech pushing him left to join his fellow machinery-made comrades, Bandit rolled his shoulders and looked to the two females, "You two are both in group two, right?" He glared at the Mechs as they all strolled out with the rest of the dogs who hadn't been chosen and due to the fact his left eye seemed to be working as he wanted it to again, he was able to do it without looking too strange.

*wink wink*

The shepherd shrugged causally, as if it was nothing as he shook his head again. "Ah. It's nothing." His ears perked when the female suddenly backed away, as if something had struck her on the face, causing the fear to rise in her eyes. Concern and confusion rose inside of him; Shadow let a soft whine escape his throat, as if to say, "What's wrong?". But he remained silent, glancing briefly at Zephra, then back at Kystine. The Mechs opening interrupted the canines - Shadow was partly glad for that, for it had broken the awkward silence that folded over them. But then again, he had no liking for the mechs, and in reaction, his neck fur bristled slightly.

At the mentioned of rebels, Shadow's back fur bristled excitedly, perhaps this would be a chance to prove his strength and loyalty. His ears strained to catch the names of the dogs whom he would be with - two he knew, which were beside him, but the other three were strangers to him. Shadow flinched slightly when the mechanical dogs began to herd the dogs together, as if they were lost sheep in a large pasture. He resisted the urge to lunge at one and forced himself to listen to the rest of the orders.

His gaze averted to the other group; they were investigating downtown, while group one, which was the group he was in, would be uptown. "Should be easy." He muttered to himself, but he shifted uncomfortably at the words of: "The criminals must be dead." But he shook himself, straightened up, and faced the rest of his group, sweeping his gaze over them as he lingered on a certain one - a mutt, who he thought was named Alever.

Shrugging, the canine dipped his head to group one in a friendly manner. "Hello," He greeted awkwardly, glancing at Kystine and Zephra, as if excepting them to do something as well.

The female remained silent as the mechanical dog barked orders in its emotionless voice. Her ears barely paid any attention to him, only listening hard to enough to snatch important bits of information. Her brain pieced them together until she received the main idea, and she slowly rose to her paws as soon as the other dogs scrambled into action.

Surprise flickered through Listal at the sound of someone addressing her, but she turned to see that it was only the other female. Dipping her head, she managed a friendly smile in her eyes, though her mouth remained emotionless. "Indeed," she murmured in return. "I'm glad to be with a familiar dog." Her tail softly wagged before her eyes flickered to a male dog who had just approached them. "Yes, yes," she responded hastily. "This is group two."

Silence bound Listal's mouth shut, and she bit back further conversation for a second before reluctantly submitting to her social skills. For some strange reason, she just didn't feel very sociable this morning, but she brushed away the feeling. "I suppose we'll have to know each other's names," she barked softly, "unless if you want me to create queer nicknames for you." She rolled her eyes at the playfulness of the last phrase. "I am known as Listal."

A nearly disinterested look was plastered onto the large male's face, although traces of excitement stirred within him. He scanned the dogs in his group, his eyes slightly narrowing at some of them, but he offered no contributions towards a pleasant conversation. He didn't believe in speaking unless if necessary, and he wasn't about to waste time or words for the sake of socializing - unlike his sister. He was filled with the temptation to shoot a glare at her, as well as see what she was up to. However, he resisted it, not wanting to draw attention to himself. He had no interest in her or desire to protect her; all he was focused on was survival and pleasing the Organization while they still allowed him to live.

Rolling his shoulders, Alever merely released a grunt as one of the dogs offered a nervous greeting. His eyes fixed upon the German Shepherd as he studied him for a moment before flickering his ears at him in acknowledgement. He knew the others probably expected a proper introduction, but he was not one to offer it voluntarily. They would have to directly ask him before he would be willing to do such a thing.

Cynder lowered her head at the other dog who approached, lazily opening her mouth and emmiting a silent yawn before getting back up on her haunches. "Yes, we're a group." She chirped before following the wolf hybrid with her gaze. "Nice to know you Listal! I'm Cynder.~" The white-colored dog replied before slinking back down on her belly, waiting for them to start moving.

His robotic jaws opened up to greet the fellow dogs before he raised his head - ears erect and gently flinging back and forth. He would wait for the dogs to gather before moving.

Kystine had turned her head as various dogs of many sizes began to mingle amongst each other. She had scanned over the two groups, and frowned when she realized that she had only known well, two- other dogs- yet others she had seen before, yet she had never actually met them before. More than often- she'd see some of the dogs in her group, yet she was too shy, and a bit too wary, to actually go and socialize- despite how friendly they'd appear. The only ones she seemed to know were Shadow and Zephra- two wispy-furred dogs who she had met today. Her tail began to swish behind her- a habit she had, before she gave a small sigh, she'd have to put her shyer, more warier side behind her- for the fact that she now had to do work with a larger group of dogs- for she was used to just two or three more Mechs coming along to aid her.

Something else seemed to bother the young white canine though- she had to actually kill the criminals now- something she did rarely, as she was used to just tackling them, and allowing the Mechs to do the work- but this time she didn't have to just run them down, she'd have to send that killing bite, as the Mechs for some reason wanted them dead and not in prison. Those thoughts chilled her- what did such a large group of rebels due to get even the mechanical dogs on high guard- why were they not fit for prison? How bad were they? She didn't like violence, but she knew that if shey didn't do her job- they'd think she wasn't loyal- if she had to put it in a positive way, it did help her prove herself to other dogs- despite her going back to her old nature in the yard. Kystine had given a sigh, moving into a sit- and allowing her tail to curl around her paws as her group gathered around, she watched as a dog walked towards the little group formed by Zephra and Shadow and her, a mallinois. She offered  a wag of her tail when he had spoken.

Her eyes went to Shadow when he had spoken, before she watched him glance at her and the other female- as if she was supposed to introduce herself as well. She had looked towards the male, giving a bright look, before opening her mouth to speak. "Hello to the both of you." She had said, pointing out Alever who hadn't seem to want to speak- yet also addressing the other dog, the mallinois. She watched for the rest of the group to come, watching as the Mechs left. The sight of them gone- and the sight of having less dogs in the yard made her relax- and instantly, her slightly flattened ears went up- and she seemed more of a neutral submissive dog, than a severely submissive dog. The dogs in her group didn't seem that bad- at least she wasn't paired with any dog who had history with her. It wouldn't end well, too much fighting would be amongst the group- which would stop them in getting the criminals.
