Terrain Game Crash
« on: November 14, 2013, 05:22:27 pm »
So I've made at least 25 maps before. Never had this problem.

I created a terrain map, using the watermill terrain and saving it as something different and then going on to draw my terrain over it. When I go into the game and try and load it though, it causes the game to crash. I have no idea why it's going this. I loaded the watermill terrain and it showed up just fine, but anytime I load the terrain I made, it crashes.

PS
I'm using gimp. It's game compatible.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thank you
Leneka

Are you sure it's grayscaled, saved as a .png and all 'flattened' on one layer?

Thank you VERY much. I would never have thought to flatten the picture. I had merged all the layers, and it was in grey scale and .png. But I just went in and flattened it, went into the game, and walla, it came up no problem.

I've never had this issue before, and I've never had to flatten a terrain map before. But I also don't think I've ever done layers for it before (which I did because I wanted a blur effect on one part and not another). I'll remember to flatten the image from here on out if I use layers.

Thank you thank you thank you very much. :)
