I like this idea.. After all, it does get pretty confusing when trying to find your friends in a public map during rush hour o.0
Also, maybe it should have an off button, so people could turn it off if they don't want to see all the colourful text (and congrats on the 1,000 post)

Interesting idea Mocha, although it does have a few cons.
Friends in game sure do have different personalities and each one has  a level of importancy to you. Ones are cool and are just pack mates, and some and besties.
Although it would be cool to set colours for friends in game it is as easy as just selecting their name in the friends tab and clicking 'Find'.
Not only is tells you which map they're in in the chat box, but also shows you on the mini map.

As for what Echoz said, sadly it wouldn't be a good idea for the forum.
MOTS and staff members have different colours and that shows their titles.
It wouldn't only confuse people but also it would take away the features the MOTS and staff have.
Example; Admin= Red colour  -- Friend = Red colour
It was meant to be a special feature only specific people can get, and that's why it would ruin the forum a bit.
Nice idea for inside the game though!
