Lulz, yeah. I think they decided on a girl lead because there're so many girls in their fanbase and they figured they'd finally have a female lead in a major event. They're rare now a days...

I hated the movie. Hated it. The effects were great, but the movie was awful. The series was 238749387209568390 times better.

I agree with you. I know it's hard to convert 20 episodes into a couple hours, but I think they should've tried, ya know? Blah. Oh well, I can see how they could've done worse. :| Btw your icon is adorable, Gem. :DDD

OMG theres a new avatar series coming out? OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!! My mom loved Avatar, my sister too, we rewatched, like, 6 times! The movie stunk. Like, bad. I watched the series and then I laughed at the movie, like, WHAHAHAHAHA THE SERIES BEAT YOU!!!!! I saw the series on netflix. I'm so exited! I love that the main character will be a girl this time, you don't see that so often. I hope in the next series, we see a little of the old characters. I'm gonna look it up right now

"Avatard" is a bit of a strong word, but I still enjoy the show. It's certainly a lot better than most attempts at "American Anime" (it's actually better than a lot of Japanese anime, now that I think about it). It's creative, it's thoughtful, it's intelligent, it's funny, it's dramatic, it's got great characters...you know what, I gotta start watching that show again.

Strangely enough...I just couldn't get into The Legend of Korra. Maybe I was just too weirded out by the sudden technology jump.

[size=11]Oh wow, I haven't seen this thread in literally two years XD Well, it's probably more like around a year and a half.

Anyway, now I really gotta watch the first Avatar series again! I've seen a few episodes of the newer series and liked it so far! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to daily. Does it still even come on nickelodeon..? If not, I'll have to find some other way to watch it, I don't think it's on Netflix >3>
