Turtle

He looked towards the others feeling quite awkward and fearful. He was the only one that was mute there so far, he was hopeful that after the activation his powers would make up for his lack of speech. He pulled out his notebook and pencil then walked towards the rest of the group, sitting down on the couch which made Duni follow. He positioned himself so he was comfortable and began to listen to them.

A little short :P

Torin Kazuki
Status: Left his room to meet up with the others.
Health: 16/20 A bit sore from a few conflicts the previous night though is recovering fine.

After about 15 minutes had passed, Torin got off from his sleeping arrangements and went over to his stash of belongings, pulling out fresh clothes and slipping into black tank top and dark denim jeans with a grey hooded jacket thrown casually over his shoulder for later. He sat down to pull on his boots before standing up and heading towards the door. In truth, he was a bit nervous about to day, though his personality refused to allow him to reveal this. As the door was opened, he left the comfort of his place and paced himself down the hall to meet up with the others, one hand deep in his denim pocket while the other held a grasp onto his jacket.

A few a minutes later, he had reached the room. He didn't bother to show any sort of hesitation while entering the atmosphere. Torin caught sight of the large crowd of people though simply deterred from them, not too far away, but enough to remain inconspicuous. He closed his eyes as he leaned up lazily against one of his arms, keeping his arms crossed and his demeanor quite intimidating in appearance. He listened to bits and pieces of the conversations that were had here and there, though didn't bother to interject or even think too hard into them. A low sigh rose up from his chest as his mind wandered about many things. What will life be like once they're released? What sort of ability did he attained? And if he would be able to escape the government's firm hold and allow him to live a peaceful normal life. He figured the last one was a now brainer, as the government ruined everything in his eyes. If they really expect me to be obedient after all they've done, they got another thing coming... Torin thought to himself in distaste.

His eyes narrowed a tad open as he scanned around the room yet again. Nothing much had changed as most of the sociable living mates were still chatting up with each other. Though his sight had noticed that he wasn't the only one to act in seclusion as well. He shrugged it off thinking, He's probably just a shy nervous wreck. I really don't blame him. A thought rose to his conscious to make an effort to talk to this quiet individual, though scrapped it almost immediately. It wasn't that Torin was shy or afraid to. The meaning being his isolation ran much more deep than that. Though he would never sanely think of even mentioning his past experiences causing this to anyone. Especially not a stranger.

Finn

Finn immediatly took back his hand once it had been shaken and shoved it back into his pocket, leaning back out of the conversation. The girls, Azalea and Aspen, seemed nice, but he still didn't want to get close to anyone. He was about to turn and leave when he was asked how he felt about the activation. Pausing, Finn narrowed his eyes "It makes me want to kill a bitch." he then turned and walked back to his seat. Sinking back into the cushion, he felt his shoulders relax and he slumped forwards, head in his hands. He could hear Teddy thanking Aspen for her compliment on his beanie, and he thought back to the day that Teddy had received the scar that he hid with the same beanie.

After a few moments of thought, Finn noticed the other boy standing against the wall. He seemed a bit like Finn in his mannerism and the way he kept away from the crowd. Deeming the guy as no threat, Finn went back to his thoughts, staring at the chair in front of him as he waited for time to slowly creep along. Waiting for the activation felt like waiting for your death, knowing it's going to happen, knowing it's unavoidable, but not knowing how it's going to happen.

Turtle

He began to think about the activation and bit his lip nervously. He turned to Duni to see if she perhaps felt the same, but all she was doing was tapping her finger on the couch beside her with a bored expression, watching the TV which was on an incredibly boring channel, at least to her anyway. Turtle turned away staring in front of himself, then took a deep breath trying to calm himself. Suddenly, he caught Duni pulling out a small notebook and writing in it. Upon realizing that he had seen it, Duni's face turned pale as she shoved it back into her pocket.
"Only.. uh, writing about..." she didn't want to tell them that she was writing down what was going on, and then huffed before continuing to say, "Writing about my feelings."

Azalea / Aza

Azalea stifled a giggle at Finns snide comment, clearing her throat to cover it. Sighing, Azalea turned her neck to look at the clock. "They should be starting soon." She huffed, feing indifferent about the whole thing. "I need to sit down." She said, putting her hand on her forehead nervously. She sat on the very edge of the couch,  still in practically the same spot she was moments before. Aspen joined in sitting next to her, putting a hand on her knee, "It'll be fine." She said simply, giving her a reassuring smile. Azalea have a small right smile, "Thanks." She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "What's going to happen after we get our powers activated and set free? Where will we all go?" She asked nobody in particular. She had no house, no family to return to. Where would she go? Back to the streets? No way.
Azalea sighed, running a hand through her hair. Her eyes flicked up to a dark male in the corner of the room. Her eyes scanned him for a moment, taking him in. She hadn't noticed him much before. She had heard he was disobedient, so nobody really gave him a chance. Maybe he wasn't very friendly, but did anyone know that? No. Because nobody took the time to get to know him. Azalea felt sympathetic for those anti-social people. She flicked her eyes away before she would be considered staring. She flicked her eyes over to Teddy, then back at Aspen.

---

Aspen

Aspen only rolled her eyes, giving a chuckle, seemingly unfazed by the comment. When Azalea sat down, she thought she probably felt nervous. She sat down and reassured her, but wasn't sure how to respond to her worries. "Let's cross that bridge when we come to it." She said simply, rubbing Azaleas back. Aspen could tell Azalea was reassured and felt a little better, seeing she sat straighter now. She looked up at Teddy, smiling. "Teddy. What are you gonna do after you get your powers?" Aspen asked, making Azalea look up. Aspen watched Azaleas eyes travel to Teddy, waiting for a reply.

(Gosh I'm late for the partyyyy)

Franchessca / Tricheur
Health: 19/20
Problems/Injuries: No injuries, but is currently very tired.

The soft noises of crinkling was the only sound that filled the dark room at the moment, caused by a figure seated on the bed, leaning back against the wall as she focused her attention on her left hand. The hand wraps that were usually there were undone and loosely hanging off her wrist as she inspected the various scars, all ranging from small cuts to what looked like burn marks. She ran her fingers over them, feeling the rough and uneven skin as she dragged her gaze up to stare at the wall.

Last night wasn't a good night at all, unlike the rest where she slept like a log. The first thing that bothered her was obviously the activation of their powers, but the second thing was nightmares. Unusual. Either way, it prevented her from sleeping and she opted to stay awake for the whole night, looking at her hands, playing with the bandages or just having a staring competition with the wall. She eventually regretted staying awake, but by that time it was too late and the whole block came alive with the buzzes and rings of alarm clocks. Franchessca frowned, blinking herself awake. Her own alarm clock lay on the floor in a corner, where she still had to get it fixed after accidentally using it as a punching bag. After a few more minutes of staring at the broken contraption, the youngster stifled a yawn and shook her head as a last attempt to keep herself awake, before quickly rewrapping her hands and reaching over to grab her cap and place it snugly on her head.

Her lips twitched up in a small smile as she patted the top of Ami's head, which had been laying heavily on her lap during the majority of the night. The canine immediately opened his eyes, sitting up to give Franchessca's cheek a generous amount of licks. She chuckled, allowing it for a moment before gently pushing her companion's face away and getting up, making a quick trip to wash her face in the sink before she went to the door of her room. Already, she could hear various voices coming from outside. Her hands landed on the doorknob, about to open it when something brushed against her leg. She hesitated, glancing down at Ami, who seemed about ready to jump right out of the door. The french knew that many of the other people in this facility were downright terrified of canines, especially Ami - who reached up to her chest if he stood on his two hind legs - but she wasn't feeling quite compassionate today. And besides, the canine could drive away at least some of those people, since she wasn't in the mood to talk either. Shrugging, she opened the door, watching as Ami ran over to the room where the voices were coming from, though he slowed to a walk as he entered, glancing back to see if Franchessca was behind.

The teenager shut the door to her room before following the dog, walking slowly to the room and cutting her way through so that she could go the kitchen, but instead of getting a cup of coffee or eating something she simply slid into a random chair, kicked her legs up onto the counter without a care and letting her eyes shut for a moment. At least she wouldn't get in trouble for sleeping in, since she wasn't exactly in her room. And it was only for maybe 15 minutes. Couldn't hurt, right? For a while, she ignored the others and the small whine of her dog, who was wondering why she wasn't as energetic as always.

*casually sprinting to catch up*
@Taylor: Your character is accepted!

Adrin Mullen

Ten minutes had passed when her fellow subjects started to file into the livingroom, rubbing sleep from their eyes. Not even one of them bothered to greet her; or even acknowledge her for that matter. Adrin rolled her eyes before entering the room, immediately sensing the charged-up atmosphere. It was buzzing with both excitement and fear, obviously it was for the activation day. She couldn't get her mind around how people would excited about something like this. Several scientists had told her that it would most likely be the most painful experience of her life, but they were probably trying to scare her.

Padding into the kitchen in her bare feet, she stirred some hot chocolate in silence. If nobody wanted to talk to her, then she would not talk to them. Besides, Adrin couldn't bear another stupid conversation about the activation. With the steaming mug in her hands, she stopped for a moment to drop a few marshmallows into the cup before finding a seat on a bean-bag in the livingroom. She had never liked coffee, it had a bitter taste and she could never manage to drink a whole cup without spitting some out.

As she drank, Adrin began to catch onto the other's conversations. Two of the girls, Aza and Aspen, were talking about the activation day; so it only took a second for Adrin to blank them out. She looked behind her and her eyes rested on Torin, who was, just like her, not the most sociable person in the mornings. "Did you know that apparently the activation will be the most painful thing you've ever felt?" She stated, positioning herself on the bean-bag so that her legs were tucked up comfortably beneath her as she was facing Torin. A small smile played at her lips as she awaited his reply.
;;I'm so sorry for my recent unexplained absence. It hasn't been a good year for me so far, but I'd like to say that I'm back for good now;;

Finn

Leaning back in his chair, Finn listened in to the surrounding conversations with his eyes closed. He could hear snippets of activation talk, Duni trying to lie to Turtle about something, and the newest arrival in the lounge room talking to Torin about pain. None of their conversations seemed very interesting so he pulled himself back into his thoughts, ideas and worries flew through his mind like a hurricane and he frowned, there was so much to think about at the moment and so little time to think. He clasped his hands and stared at his little brother who was still talking nervously to the girls; Finn was worried about how Teddy would react to the activation, he worried about Teddy losing control of his new found powers and hurting himself. Yes, there were a lot of things to worry about right now.

Finn already had a plan conjured in his head; Teddy was very social and always wanted to live a normal life so once released, Finn would have to let him go into the world on his own. He could support Teddy a little bit with some money that their parents had left for them in their will, but dealing with his previous bad experiences with banks, he knew it would be hard to get the money out on short notice. Once Teddy was on his way to becoming independent, Finn would most likely find himself living as a burglar or bounty hunter, two jobs he had been training himself to be for ages. He smirked to himself, he would finally have a life by himself without contact from others besides the occasional visit to see his little brother.

Now thinking back to the activation, Finn was told by a few of the staff around the facility that it would be one of the most painful things he had ever felt in his life. This didn't surprise him due to the fact that he had never been handled gently or nicely living here, so he had developed a high pain tolerance during his time in the hero project. It probably wouldn't be enough to staunch all the pain of the  activation, but he wasn't worried for himself, no he was worried for Teddy. That seemed to be all he could do at the moment, worry and sulk.

Teddy

Teddy watched his brother walk away in shock, this was truly an odd thing for Finn to be doing, approaching people and introducing himself? Most of the time he just glared at those who tried to talk to him. Shaking his head he turned back to Aspen and Azalea, a frown on his face. "That was really odd... Finn doesn't talk to people..." he brightened up at Aspen's question "Well, if I can, I'm going to live a normal human life. Get a job, make money, pay taxes, all that normal people stuff." Teddy glanced around the room again, looking at all the people who had joined them in a few short minutes. His eyes landed on Torin, a boy who could have been mistaken as Finn's twin personality wise. The two were both quiet and silently fuming, they would make a great team if they actually talked to each other.

Looking down at his watch, Teddy groaned at the time. They still had almost fifteen minutes until it started and time was going by so slow, like a snail at a derby. He silently pondered what his powers would be, would they be cool stuff like controlling ice and mind reading, or would they be those cliche movie super powers; super strength, laser vision, super sonic hearing? It didn't really matter to him, he probably wasn't going to be using them living as a 'normal person' anyway.

Torin Kazuki
Status: In the room where the others are gathered, awaiting his power activation.
Health: 17/20 A bit sore from a few conflicts the previous night though is recovering fine.

Mentions: Adrin - Speaking with[/color]

The boy closed his eyes and kept his arms crossed against his chest. He noticed a few more enter the room as well but didn't seem to pay too much head to them and scoffed low under his breath. His hand dived into his left pocket and pulled out a cheap looking music device, glancing down at the screen and scrolling for the options for music. Once he selected one, he placed one of the ear buds in his ear. As he was  zoning out, a voice broke his concentration. His eyes flickered up to see who had spoken to him and glanced at the woman who was seated not too far from him, a slight smile on her face. "Lovely..." He murmured still a bit agitated though tried not to let much of it show as he continued, "I already was ecstatic about this who activation thing in the first place. Though as long as it gets me out of his rat hole, I'll withstand it." His gaze wandered a bit around the room before he had snickered, "The only thing I'll miss about this place is you can eat and sleep without really having to do much of anything." Torin was surprised that someone had actually bothered to speak with him as most of the conversations he had in the morning never ended well due to his brutish nature after he awoke. But still, he wasn't going to complain. At least it's some way to kill time, he thought.

Torin leaned his head back against the wall, turning his blaring music a bit down as he began to wonder a few things. He allowed his fingers to run through his dark hair before murmuring, "Why did you even bother coming over and talking with me? Especially in the morning. I thought by now it would be an established concept that I'm not much of a sociable or approachable person. I'll probably be even worse after that power activation. Though with my luck, I'll get something lame and cliche like turning invisible or being able to sprint really fast." Though i have to admit if i end up able to control fire or something cool like that, it will be worth it, he snickered at the thought and stared down at his hand, trying to think of what else his powers would turn out to be like. Also, if he would even be able to control them. Whatever the case, he knew by the end of this, he would finally be free of the government's control.

OOC: Have to go out for a bit so I probably won't be able to reply again til later tonight.
