(Lol I'd just say 'screw the rules' and catch it anyway in that case)
(Or just add the rule 'shinies can be caught no matter what' as I've seen some people do that)
(And just never release the shiny. Ever. Just keep it in the box at least x'D)

Then I encountered a shiny poochenya. I accidentally killed it.

I killed a shiny Golbat once.
