Failed to connect to Front Server

Hello all, I am trying to get my daughter logged into the game, however, I keep getting disconnected when trying to connect to the front server. I have checked out the other posts relating to this issue and have tried the following:
Made sure the webpage : 'http://feral-heart.com/login/index.php' is running
I even downloaded firefox to doublecheck it was not a problem with it running in chrome
Allowed 'Feral Heart.exe' through the windows firewall.

Is there a way I can see console output that would display login details?
What else can I try?

Are you making sure that you're leaving the page opened the entire time?
Don't minimize the screen while you're playing the game, the browser has to be up. ( At least that's what I've been seeing and that seems to be mentioned a lot as well ).

I just looked up your account and discovered that your username is 18 characters; which makes it too long. No matter what you do, the tab will never let you in. The only thing to fix this is to create a new account entirely, I'm afraid. Make sure that the account as no more than 16 characters in it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Yes we made sure we left the page up.

I see... a 16 character limit. She is quite bummed that she has to wait for another registration time.

Being a programmer myself, this seems to be quite the problem. That should be part of the validation parser that handles usernames.
