Map Maker Crashing [FIXED]

I am trying to make a map and I have never had Map Maker problems before, until now. I created a map, I made sure it was a .png, 513px by 513px, and I put the height map into FeralHeart > media > terrains

Everytime I go into map maker, enter the exact name of the file, a window always comes up that says "FeralHeart.exe has stopped working". I've tried so many different things.

I've tried reinstalling FeralHeart 3 times (which is not fun)
I have also looked all over the internet for a solution and it's either outdated from like 2010, or something I've already tried and wasn't successful.

Can someone please help? I really need to get this map done.

Have you tried copying the image in the program, closing the image, using the "create from clipboard option," flattening it, and then overwriting it?

What Phloxen has mentioned is probably y'er best bet. The only other thing I could possibly think of is making sure that the map terrain is in grayscale, not RBG.

Make sure to remove the alpha channel as well
