Pugs or Corgis?
« on: August 25, 2016, 09:21:48 pm »
so, my family wants another dog (after we lost our other one cause reasons). we're stuck between a pug or a corgi (leaning more towards corgi).

and i was wondering what you guys would prefer? me honestly, i prefer corgis. they're really cute ;o (pugs are adorable too though)

also i have no idea if the similar question was asked before ;-;

I think both breeds are alright, but if I had to choose one it would be a Corgi because they don't have a lot of health issues, unlike the pug.

Hmm. Pugs have terrible health problems due to how they were bred, and are very prone to obesity. If you want a healthier dog, a corgi is the best choice.

Mutts would be your best bet, as they are healthier and more "natural"

Between pugs and corgis though, I'd for sure say corgis, but make sure the parents are free of issues!
Farewell everyone<3

Both are nice. I personally like the look of corgis better though. However, they can have major health issues like intervertebral disc disease and canine hip dysplasia (I don't know exactly what those are, that's simply what a quick google search told me because I vaguely recalled something about corgis having something like that). Pugs, on the other hand, can have way more health problems. So as long as you're careful while playing with your corgi, corgi's seem to be the best bet (in both looks and health tbh in my opinion).

However, a trip to your local pet shelter, like the SPCA (where I adopted my cat, Kali from. She's seriously the sweetest cat I've ever met <3) couldn't hurt <3

Corgis. Pugs are not healthy dogs- their flattened face is a result of unethical breeding. Corgis have less health problems.
