Notepad should be all you need, and seeing you're on Windows, it should already be installed. Try right click > edit and see what comes up.

Alright, thank you. I'll try it- however, do you know of an app that can open .cfg files? I don't have one):

You can install notepad++ which is a more sophisticated. It's easy to navigate as well, and all the lines are listed/numbered for you. If the original Notepad isn't working for you, then I'm sure notepad++ will.

Open the .cfg in notepad.  When you read what's inside it's really easy to understand.

To add on, be careful when examining the code if you can manage to open it. Sometimes, a single bracket or value missing or misplaced can cause some nasty errors or omissions from the game. Solving your issue may be as easy as meddling with some figures, but proceed with caution!

I opened the notepad, it all made sense. I added the glasses from the other pack,
 but it completely messed up my items.

How so was it messed up? Could you provide a screenshot of the notepad or the items?
