Game won't work?

Hi, I was a player from about a year or two ago and I decided to redownload Feral Heart. I clicked the web-setup download and followed Shallows' instructions on how to do that. But when I open the game and log in the background is all black. The buttons are all there but the nature scenery is gone. There's just black. I logged in and I selected one of my characters to play as, and sure enough, everything is still black. It's just a black room. I can't see anything. I have reset all their homes and the issue still persists. I redownloaded and installed it as well. I don't understand. Also, after googling what the newer Feral Heart client looks like, this version I have downloaded seems older. The buttons to the side are still brown. They aren't green like the new version. Can someone help?

Okay, I tried it, and it still is doing the same thing. I'm not sure what's wrong with it.

Try this:

(Make backups of any maps/presets/objects/items you want to keep!)
--- Remove your current FeralHeart installation. (Delete the FeralHeart folder or use the "Remove programs" feature for windows.)
--- Then try re-installing, but don't put any backups/mods into the clean install yet.
--- Go to the User Panel and reset and send all your characters home.
--- Test to see if it worked.

I've tried that, reset them, sent them home, all that. This is what it looks like:

I'm curious if replacing the terrains would fix it?  This thread Bawfle's back up default scroll down to the "terrains" one.  It's 51 MB though.

They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?

Tried it just now... didn't work :( could it be the install location? It's in Program Files for me, on my Windows computer.
