But did you place your height map over the top of Vortex's in Gimp? And then save it and delete your old one?

Yes.

Have you by any chance tried to make a new map (simple) to test? Or have you tried a different painting software?

Nope.

I did redraw the map, but made it look just slightly different and it loads.
So I don't understand why it's not working... :(

There is probably something wrong with the first map that is just too small to see. The software and coding that is used when it comes to exporting the heightmaps into FeralHeart are VERY touchy and picky, so something that may seem small or unnoticeable could be impacting the software on a bigger scale.

What did you do differently, besides the look, on the new map?

The same thing:

Gimp >> 513x513 Grayscale

I did everything the same, literally.

I have 2 questions then.

1) How do you paint the map?
2) Do you have any white areas?

1. I use the colours that are on the left side of the colour choosing map, from white to black.

2. Yes. And I even have white areas in the one I redrew and it's working perfectly, but the other one I'm having trouble with, isn't.

Alright. I did hear somewhere that sometimes white areas can crash the game. But as for the painting, do you use the paint bucket to fill in the base?

Yes, so I don't have any holes when I am starting. Otherwise I use my paint brush or air brush to draw a certain shape.

So the paint bucket does not actually 100% fill the canvas when used sometimes. There is a good chance that this may have happened with the previous map. It does not happen all the time, but it is common sometimes. If the outside is one specific color, I would try taking that and going over the edges again.
