Needing help with a mesh!
« on: October 19, 2014, 08:47:20 pm »
Hello forum-dwellers!
I'm Killjoy, and I've gotten myself into quite the pickle.
You see, here I am, trying to download one of my old-maps which I dont have in-game anymore, and this large mesh comes out of nowhere! I'm not sure which file it is, so I cannot just simply delete it without deleting all of my other meshes. Any suggestions? Or has anyone else had the same problem?

You could try removing any house meshes temporarily until you narrow down which one it is.
Or you could use a mesh viewing program to find which one is that house.

Although, you aren't supposed to be having this problem anyway, FH should automatically be using the correct mesh that was exported with the map. Did you place this map's .fho file in exports, and replace something if it asked?

A mesh viewing progam? (I have no clue what that is)
I removed and replaced all of my house meshes trying to narrow down which one this huge white messy blob was, and I was unable to find the one that contained it. When I downloaded the map it asked me to replace things, and as per usual, I clicked 'Replace All.'

This program will let you load meshes into it so you can see what they look like. Might help for finding which mesh is the problem.
Though if you have a download link for this map, I might be able to help look too.

Let me know if you can help in any way- if not, thank you for everything you've already done. ^^ It's greatly appreciated.
As for the mesh loader- What if I dont have the mesh that is showing up? Or it's some sort of glitch.. I dont know, really...

The error is occuring because you added a mesh into a map, and now that mesh has been replaced.
I'm about to take a look right now though too.

Oh, thank you so much, Ruby!
^.^ I'll try to find the original mesh right away.
