Leaving / Shock.
« on: July 22, 2016, 12:08:25 am »
I just took a bath with my pet cockatiel because of self harm which was making her body around it bloody (I do this every two days) I didn't want it to look worse than it was and make her uncomfortable. We thought it was that, but it has a harsher reason. I noticed (when she was wet) by finally having the guts to move the wing and find out if there was anything that I could do to bandage up the wound, even though it would cause her pain. There is yellowness around it and a tumor-ish shape. Not as much mobility in it and she has been biting at it for months. We think it might be cancerous. We are poor and there is nothing we can do about it except put her to sleep soon if it can be checked beforehand for cancer (which it probably is..).

Where it is, is the wing joint close to where she folds it..

She's about seven/eight years old. I've had her a good few years but I expected to be going with her and my cat to college..

I'm going to sign off for a few good weeks or days. I don't know. I'm so frustrated in myself for not noticing it sooner and lessing her pain faster. This was a shocker.

Bye.

Game Discussion / Sites
« on: July 02, 2016, 10:32:24 pm »
From what I've seen, a lot of people use free hosting sites to create their own site for their group (which is nice in my own opinion, but it seems to get a bit old~) To me, a person using HTML and CSS to create their own personal site from scratch, I don't know what people don't do it this way? It's a lot more fun and lets you have a lot more room to breathe and move around. Yes, it takes a few days to learn coding and such (maybe a week if you haven't worked with free hosting sites before) and takes much more time to do, but there are a lot of good tutorials out there that work well. And there are plenty of free domains that are much smaller. I enjoy doing it by scratch, after a few weeks of experience compared to the free site version.

Your thoughts? (I'll provide answers if you have questions with that block of text right there)

Characters / New Character!
« on: June 28, 2016, 09:28:19 pm »
Was unsure where to put this, but I have a character I just made. I need a name and personality to him, so I was hoping you could recommend some. If none come out, I'll be using Euca (short for Eucalyptus) for his color. :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MCjU-Du3eI is his theme song.

We begin!

Game Help / Export, Then Problems!
« on: June 22, 2016, 05:45:30 pm »
I have currently finished the prototype hangout (possible camp) map of my group. I put a good few hours into it, saved it, and then exported it.

After that, every time I load the game it is FeralHeart.exe has stopped working.

Help?

Game Discussion / What makes a grand leader?
« on: June 07, 2016, 12:33:22 am »
Dozens of times when I am wandering around FeralHeart after working on my group, I see a group with a LOT of members on the first day. I always think so myself, when they are normally just generic wolf-packs, "howdohedodat?" And then again, seeing as I'm working on my own group, I hope I can catch the same level and maintain them where the vanilla can't (however I've always been ruined by inactivity on the first day or few weeks) I've already begun talking with my boyfriend on little things that could be done so recruiting/role-play is much more fun. But, of course, that needs a lot of time and attention and why I need staff.

Such things like the one healer group with felines and canines, or death at dawn a generic wolf-pack with a dark style that worked well for itself. It was amazing to watch silently (lol I'm a bit of a stalker type honestly.) as they continued to role-play and interact together time and time again. They held up for a good few weeks (or months.)

So, for my own curiosity, what makes a good leader? What makes the members of Feralheart just draw to them like moths to a flame. Is it the looks, the size of the group, the charismatic influence of the leader?

In-Game Roleplay & Group Advertisement / THE PIMIENTA KINGDOM
« on: June 01, 2016, 08:12:42 pm »

Plot
Far across the sea, wolves that were stupid became great. The I-Wolves lineage had began. They found their less intelligent cousins to be wrecks, the cousins eating their food and stealing what the I-Wolves could.

So the I-Wolves left.

Lead by Caster Blue-Blood; a wolf with blood stained like that of blueberries, the I-Wolves took the dangerous trek across the ocean in crafts of wood. They traveled and found a large island with a small one near it. When they arrived, there were no other wolves to be seen. They danced in joy at having a new home.

The animals in this new land were much larger and more intelligent. They built their nests and dens craftily- a challenge, a challenge the I-Wolves wished for. They had found their purpose in life.

Travelling forward, three-hundred years of the Blue-Blood's lineage..

The royal bloodline of the Blue-Bloods, held for over three-hundred years of peace, have diminished to only one heir. Their only successor, Shire Blue-Blood to take control of the madness the world has become. New herbs being discovered in his rule, and the thought of using beasts as companions as an advantage being developed; gardening and actual courtship and marriage, his rule as King is a just one, even though it has only been just for a few weeks.

The population of I-Wolves (Intelligent-Wolves) has slowed to a crawl. Courting being created, and arranged marriages to be made to keep the population at top standing.

New I-Wolves are arriving on the island with either few memories to none. They carry their bodies to find the Blue-Blood pack, in the Pimienta Kingdom that used to be once great and has now become like few ants. The King has taken advantage to these I-Wolves, carefully implementing them into his kingdom and making sure no I-Wolf arrival area is unchecked.

A new era has begun...

Add-ons
-> There is two types of wolves in this group. I-Wolf Type A and B.  I-Wolf Type A is part of a house. They have wings the same shade of their eye color; this has happened from about 12/13 generations of inbreeding. The other type B is common wolf with the intelligence of a human.

-> Your wolf will be favoured or incredibly disliked depending on how the act; their body type, their intelligence, their ability to work at their job, and their personality.

-> A system called Respect-Points is in this role-play. The Respect-Points are a way of showing members on how popular a wolf is with the others or not. Here is how it looks: (RP = 30: Wolf A = 10, Wolf B = 10, Wolf C = 10. When one wolf extracts a point or adds: (RP = 31: Wolf A = 12, Wolf B = 10, Wolf C = 9.)

-> Arranged marriages shall happen with only males and females. This is because the population of wolves on the island is incredibly small from when they began. This happened slowly from each King and Queen being not fit for the job. Shire, as a King, is attempting to bring the population back up this way.

-> Jobs and the tiers are not the same thing. Jobs is what your character works at to be part of the civilization of wolves. Tiers, however, is the level of respect and/or ranking your wolf is with the rest.

-> You may join either by being part of the civilization in the first place, being born by a pair, or by showing up. (see the plot!)

Application(s)
This role-play is currently not open for members. However, we are looking for staff to speed up the process.

Here is the staff application

Quote
Staff Applications are open!

We need:

#3 Mods
#1 Beta Reader
#1 Admin

#2 House Heads
#8 Council Roles

Mods are the out-of-character folk that moderate chat and make sure that the rules are taken seriously and not broken by folk. They are given respect and permission to greylist characters.

Admin is the main out-of-character person that leads the mods in watching over forum and game chat. The admin is set right under the owner role, and is only given to a member the owner respects and trusts. They may grey list, blacklist, white list, and be heard directly by the owner them self to troublesome players.

Beta Reader is the person that will make sure any lore, official announcements, and special work look like something a Feral-Heart staff member would create for the game. They must have excellent grammar, punctuation, and paragraph structure.

House Heads are the folk that lead the group IC in the council. There used to be four houses, but two of those houses have been wiped off of the map and lore. They remain in history. House Heads will be part of lore, and will make sure the members IC keep to the law.

Council Roles are members of houses or respected members of common folk. They reign first in decisions by taking vote to every special decision and are the first people the King and Queen come to for assistance.

This role-play group is not going to be done in a week at the least without some help. I still have the map to finish, site to finish up, jobs/tiers to work on, and organization of a LOT of stuff. This shall be bumped softly when it has been finished.

-> THIS IS A HUGE WIP.
-> Forgot to add: this is a mature role-play! I also have a bit of a set-up for coats/pelts, and there is need for a role-play simple since it is literate: but that is all!

Screenshots / Natural Emotions Project
« on: May 31, 2016, 04:38:35 am »
Hello everyone! Currently I am creating more natural emotions for the game. I will be literally revamping every emotion you have in the game usually, making it natural, and then adding on to it like lookleft or lookright. :)

When I am finished, you may PM me for the coding if you want it <3

Enjoy the screenshots as I continue, though!

(Screenshots show top to bottom, starting with Normal)

Updates!

-> I've gotten all the way to Foxy
-> I've decided, once finishing all of them; to create a look left, right, up, and down that you may edit if needed. This will be good for Movie-Makers and when you want to be up on top with role-play actions in FeralHeart.

KALABAN'S MAP SHOP

I was unsure where to put this, so I decided to just keep it here and let one of the mods move it to the right place. :)

Even though I may not be the absolute best at Maps, I've decided to create this for people who /really/ want to make a map, have the items they want, but don't know how to do certain things with heightmaps/etc.

I have put about 80 percent of my practice into heightmaps, 5 percent into colormaps, and 15 percent into item placement. I've found out how to download meshes and also mess with them to create beautiful creations. I will show you some of my skills

Lumpy Forest (Heightmap only)

Maverick (Full On Map)
Includes three dens, magical spots, plenty of room to run, and is in a different world. This was also my first map. Please note: This is a HUGE map and it does not lag. Even with my boyfriend's PC

Word Code
Lumpy = Hills
Mountain = Mountains
Lake = Lakes
Ocean = Oceans
Pond = Ponds
Pocket = Secret spot in mountains
Soft = Not much editing to the base. (EG PLAINS)

Needs
Communication: Skype, Email, Etc = For updates.
Patience: Map-making takes time, especially large ones.
Clearness: I need to know what you want.
Pictures: They can help with my references on what you want
Activity: You need to use this, or I'm not making it
Meshes: Please make sure to give me all the meshes you want in the map, or I will use my own.

Kalaban's Characters

"No luck, pumpkin. We're in this for the long run."
F a k e

Fake is a wolf that 100% lies about everything. She has a /very/ mysterious background, and scars that leave more questions than answers. her gender cannot be confirmed, but most estimate that she is a female. But, if Fake were a male, the possibility of her genitals being removed is a high percentage. Fake, being a liar, /loves/ to stir up trouble every chance she gets. This includes the amazing ability to draw all the negative energy into herself. (EG: The Scapegoat.) Fake has never told a person her background, or her name. So everyone called her "Fake" in her last pack. She took on the name, because she liked it.

This is my only current active character. Hope you liked it!

Discussion Board / Favorite Weather?
« on: May 21, 2016, 02:01:06 pm »
I've been traversing around, and found that my favorites are much different than most people.

My favorite type of weather is before a large thunderstorm. The electricity in the air, the cold front, the big winds that go right through your clothing, the howling like music to my ears, and then when you hear "BOOM" in the distance. I also love the storm (we have a porch we sit on when good ones come up) and I myself dance in the rain, not giving a what about getting struck by lightning because it is /beautiful./

(What is your favorite type of weather? "Eg: before/after storm, hot afternoon, warm night, etc.")
