If so I had the same problem a while back and sometimes it happens to me randomly. If you're using Internet Explorer try switching out of compatibility mode. If that doesn't work for you log out the forum and clear out your cache then close the window and reopen the window back to the forum. You could also try using a different browser. Usually this problem sorts itself out though.

I've been trying to log in with the space right above the forum index when you click "forums" from the main page. It only shows up when you're not logged in, and is replaced by "Hello, <username>." and the "show unread posts" and all of that other stuff.

And yes, that is it.
I am in Internet Explorer, so that may be part of it. I'll try switching out of compatibility mode and all of that, and edit this if it works.

Yep, it was compatibility mode. I had accidentally turned it on somehow.

Site/Forum Help / Two Questions...

First off, hello and thank you for clicking. ^^
Any help with either of these two questions would be incredibly appreciated, as they've both been pestering me for a while now.

Question #1:
I can't seem to log in correctly most of the time.
This is a pretty simple one, though I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help. Whenever I try to log in here on the forums (up above the index), I type in my username and my password pops up in the password space. It's set to automatically do that, and I've checked many, many times to make sure it's correct. But whenever I hit enter, it just comes up with the login screen and the red "incorrect password" message. Now, when I type in the EXACT same password on that login screen, it lets me in just fine. Also, when I manually type in my password in the same spot above the index, it still says it's incorrect and brings me to the login page, where it works just fine.
Let me just say now, PLEASE don't respond to this one with "make sure you have your password typed in correctly."
I may be stupid, but I'm not THAT stupid. I've checked a ton of times. ;P

The forum randomly changed one day to an annoying setup.
This one is pretty easy as well. I can't figure out why or how, but one day the forum on my laptop just suddenly changed to a setup where posts alternate from a black background to a white one. It's beginning to drive me crazy, because a lot of people post with light colors that are meant to be seen easily against the black background. I've tried playing with the settings, but I can't figure out what's making it do what it's doing.

That's it...
If you have any questions about either, I'd be happy to clarify parts of either one.

Sorry... suddenly got hit with the flu and a fever and I've been sort of inactive. As I'm getting better, I'll be more active. ^_^"
Please ignore any stupid mistakes I make, as I'm not anywhere close to feeling 100%, and I very well may screw up a couple times or so, as this stupid stomachache of mine is pretty distracting.

I should also be able to finally get a picture for Nimbus today...

Ember
Prisoner of the Celestial Pride


With a flicker, Ember's eyes opened to nothing but an endless sea of inky black water. Every part of her body ached with exhaustion, from her tail to the tip of her blue nose.
"Hellllloooooo?" she called out, her fur standing on end. Something didn't feel right, and she couldn't quite place what it was. The feeling lurked right behind her, as if it was waiting for the right moment to pop out and surprise her. Over all, it was an annoying sensation, but she quickly shrugged it off to investigate her new surroundings.
After a series of short cheetah chirps that were normally used in her home pride to communicate between members over long spaces, she continued treading and listening. There was no response, not even an echo in the vast, open space.
"EMMMBBEERRR!" came the call of a voice several minutes later. Ember knew that voice anywhere, and she wasn't going to let them escape this ti--
A sudden flash of pure white light seared into her vision. The ocean faded away, and she was thrown back into her nightmare of an existence. She could feel her freezing body being carried by an unknown creature, but there was little she could do to stop it. Her body had been drained of any source of energy, and she couldn't feel her paws. The black-speckled silver pelt of hers was slowly frosting over as the cold got the best of her soaked fur.
"Where... a-am I?" she stuttered through chattering teeth. Through narrowed eyes she gazed at the many faces of the crowd. Ember could easily tell she wasn't in Kansas anymore anywhere near her home.

She probably wouldn't be ever again.

Ember's eyes flickered open.
"I TOLD YOU, TAKE ME INS--"
She stopped, eyes widening as she took in her surroundings.
"Am I dead? Are YOU dead?" she hissed, trying to figure everything out. Ember slowly moved her front paws, feeling the rock. Her tail flicked in the air. She surely still FELT alive, but things seemed, eh, different somehow. After all, people from where she came from would never be this nice.
Ember attempted to scramble up to her paws, but collapsed again on her bad paw. Her head hit a rock as she blacked out for the second time.

Spots began wavering in front of Ember's eyes. They taunted her as she slowly sunk back down to the floor of the lake. She screeched, and several large bubbles flew up to the surface, causing the surface to ripple and shake.
This is it, I'm dead.
The sandy lake bottom greeted her as her fur tangled with the underwater foliage. Her whole body drooped as she closed her eyes for what she was sure was the last time.
One of her long scars opened up again, the worst one. Blood floated up to the surface, causing red blossoms to dance all over the lake.

[Alright, this first character is actually one I found from a pretty long time ago. I still love her backstory and personality, so I'm finally bringing her back. :D]


Celestial Pride

Name:
Ember is what she instructs people to call her.
(EXTRA NOTE: She chose this as her nickname because she considers herself like one ember in a fire, one of many. But that's not stopping her anytime soon.)

She appears to be somewhere around the age of young adult...

Ember hasn't showed much about herself yet, she hasn't really "warmed up" to anyone. (will update)
Ember also has a rare condition that causes her eyesight to go out at any time for no reason. She knows that someday it'll go out for good, but she's learned to cope with it.

History:
After a loud scream several members of the Celestial pride came to see what the noise was. It was Ember, unconscious at the bottom of Kai lake. She hasn't told where she came from, and swears she won't, ever. We'll see about that...

Mentor:
The whole pride is taking part in showing her around currently.

Former Mentors/Apprentices:
None.

Parents:
She hasn't told anyone...

Mate:
None, currently.

Offspring:
Also none.

Prisoner:
None

Status:
Consider her a prisoner for now, but she's treated like a normal pride member. She hasn't chosen a rank yet.

Critical condition; unconscious, extremely cold, frostbite, various injuries, and her right back leg is broken.

Ember couldn't breathe.
The water held her down in her deathbed. She was sure of it this time, no doubt. Death had come knocking too many times, and now he wasn't turning away. Currents swirled around her three working paws as she tried to swim up. Each time, her broken paw still dragged her down.
"SOMEBODY HELP!" She tried to screech, but instead pulled in mouthfuls of water. Every part of her wanted to give up and sink back down to the bottom where she could just lie there in the sand. But that one little stubborn voice in the back of her head caused her to keep kicking. She broke the surface for a mere second, screaming and taking in a breath before sinking back down to her watery grave. This time she had no energy left, and she gave in to the voices pleading for her to let go.

Nimbus is literally considered that cloud of bad energy that floats around the pack. Even though most avoid him, he is incredibly nice to those who accept him for who he is.
(Extra side note: Nimbus has a secret, a voice in his head. It claims that it's name is Sebastian, and he knew Nimbus very well. The voice also claims that it is a spirit, but Nimbus could care less what it is. He just wants it gone.)

History:
Nimbus' ancestors travel back to the beginnings of Archeon pack. He's quite respected, even with his bad reputation. He was born in the pack, and raised in their ways.

Mentor:
None.

Former Mentors/Apprentices:
He began training several apprentices, all of which left for "undescribed reasons".

Parents:
Plague and White Rose
(Both are alive, but they decided to go into "retirement" by leaving the forest for good. Nobody knows their exact location now.)

I'm going to wander around the maps again, even though I haven't gotten accepted.

I can't find some of the maps...
So far I've only toured around The Underloch Caverns, Isle St. Serf, and the Great Oak den and the maps attached to it.
Where are the rest?
..and what's the use of Fingal's caverns?

Third Edit:
Scratch that, I found Castle Kinross.
I still can't find either spirit place.
