wow i can't believe people are still interested in the pride. However it's still staying closed. Even if i don't want it to. I've been busy with making my own game that I've got no time now to start a pride rp.
Not only was it hard to get the lionesses on at the same time but there was hardly no activity with rival males coming into the pride since people would have to download the map to come in. If i ever decide to open it again there will be stuff people will have to read and cooperate with. For the pride to fully work we'd need dates and times for when wet season starts and dry season ends etc. How long they'd have to stay as a cub before they can mature. Cub's dying from rival males or hyena's needed to be discussed. To get the pride to act 100% realistic, i'd have to mess about with FH itself and figure out how to get moving prey as well as enemy npc's DX. Which is impossible as kov can only do that.

Hey. I was wondering where you guys got the glacier in the Alaska map from or if you guys made it? May I use it in my map and do have a link to the download of the glacier? I'll credit whoever made it. Thanks.

There isn't any glacier's in this map. All the meshes that you've not seen before belong to me and zukorocks!. Anything that comes close to a glacier is the ice floats. The meshes aren't for download in this map as i actually don't have them anymore. They've been exported into the map themselves and there's no way i can retrieve them.

the map folder will be named the exact same as what you want your map to be named.

Go to Feralheart\media\terrains

your map folder should be located in there. If its not then you haven't created one. The heightmap should be placed inside your map folder.

To create a map folder if you havent already, go to map maker. Type in the map name and hit save. Turn off FH and look in the terrains folder. Your map folder should now be there. Place your heightmap in and load fh back up. Click map maker. The type in the name of your heightmap.

Bloo i wasn't arguing. I was just getting across that its not always safe to assume that amount of players are the cause of someones lag. Zuko was asking bayonetta to write down her computer specs so we could help her some more. Otherwise we won't know whats causing the lag until we at least know what type of laptop she has. If i was having a fight with someone over a forum it'd be far more aggressive. Which theres really no point in doing so, since i rarely argue over a forum anyways. so nope i wasn't fighting i was just saying that her laptop mightn't be able to handle the game altogether. Thats why i mentioned the whole dual and quad core thing. I was just giving my knowledge nothing more nothing less. Zuko was asking only bayonetta for computer specs thats all. I don't see how this is classed as an argument. I also don't see any negative comments on my side either apart from the part about i knew what i was talking about.
Bayonetta is basically saying she has a problem with FH running altogether.

Oh before i forget bayonetta if it is your laptop thats struggling to run FH try red's tutorial on how to make the game run more stable and faster.

it might be hard to follow this but i'm sure red will answer any of your questions. if you get stuck.

@Gaara
Sorry if this is mean of me to say, but your answer wouldn't help probably for others maybe too, I'm just stating this BTW. Actaully, they are correct. The number of users on the server can cause lag problems; If you don't believe me, goto some maps, even on my fast computer it lags, but rarely it will. Laptops do tend to cause lag too. They are just not built like desktop. Ways to fix the lag is:
-Change view distance to a lower number.
-turn water reflection to OFF
-Delete any unused, junk, old files to save space.
-Delete Programs that are not needed.
-Don't download as much things, if do.
-Change computer settings to the best you can.
-Close programs, such as Skype, when not using it ATM.

Yes i do know that the amount of players in a map can cause lag. However Bayonetta did say that she has had to turn her specs down on her laptop because it was lagging. All i said was that her laptop specs might not be as good as her Old computers meaning there will be lag issue's since she's used to the older pc that runs it fine. Before i got my second new pc my old one was laggy around tons of players as well as object filled maps, however i was still able to have draw distance high as well as water reflection on. If it was just the amount of players in the map causing her to lag she'd be able to at least have these options on. It goes to show that her laptop mightn't be powerful enough. I got a new one and it smoothed out. No lag what so ever. What im saying is her older pc might either had better cpu compared to her laptop. My old pc was a dual core cpu. FH lagged. My new one has a better graphics card as well as quad core cpu. I think FH hogs the first core of your cpu. Since it does that you at least need a spare core. (Dual core.) However this will limit things you can do in the background. However since i have a quad core cpu i can run several programs in the background while FH is running on a LCD HD TV.

So yes i do know what i'm talking about SilverTW i've been building computers for a few years now as well as fixing my own if things go wrong. I know what to look out for.

if what the other 2 said don't help with lag issues it could be the fact that your laptop has bad specs compared to your older computer. If you've went and gotten a laptop that doesn't have good specs to run the game your bound to get lag problems.

Was there a a lion-king based pridelands in IT?
No, RW. There wasn't, actually. That would be copyright.

Actually there was a lion king based pridelands in Impressive title. However kovuLKD didn't make it. It was Simba. It was a private map only. Most likely of copyright reasons and was only available for members of simba's pride and RP.

I actually had that map on impressive title it was beautiful. Laggy though. ATI Graphics cards don't like Ogre games lol. I was a lioness from his pride called Hidaya.

FH maps are too small. And mostly all plain. Take South pole for instance. Theres nothing in it apart from a rock for the portal. Theres nothing much to see and explore. On IT you had barren places as well as bountiful places. Savannah was one of my favourites.

and yeah tigg i saw that savannah. Shame its not allowed out though. The one i made was just a remake of the one from IT. I used all their coding to recreate it. However i had to re-do the terrain masks because FH uses RGB for masks. And by looking back at it i can see one thing that i missed DX the sand paths.

i agree with what both slydragon and keerigishi are saying. However it wouldn't be the mods that are remaking them but me. Yes there are copyright issues as well thats why i was trying to ask permission.
For the savannah map i think i know who made it. I'm going to get intouch with her asap. Shes a friend of one of my friends.

But for some reason Savannah works well in IT without much lag. On FH it lagged alot on my older pc. But my good pc it was very smooth. So i had to make 2 versions of it. One with all the objects in. And the other with less objects. But they use the same coding so it wouldn't matter if players download different versions they'll both be in the same map.

Game Discussion / IT to FH maps

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this thread. If its not then sorry about that. I just wasn't sure where to place it.

I've had this idea for a while now and always wanted to roam fh using the old impressive title maps. Its just Fh is so lacking in maps. Players tend to hog maps as well leading to overcrowded maps. The last time i was able to actually get into Flourite plains was a few months ago. I don't bother going their because of the bad tokens that keep popping up because the map is full.

Maybe adding these new maps as a download will help people spread out abit. As well as giving them somewhere else to roam and hangout. I used to RP all the time on Impressive title. I even had my very own successful lion pride. I was hoping that the creators of the IT maps would allow me to do a remake of them. However i won't take any credit for them at all. All i want out of this is to see players having fun like they used to back when IT was out.

I already have 1 map. The savannah almost completed. It was just a test run to see what it looks like in feral heart and i must say its beautiful.

What do the players think about this? Do you want to hang out in the old maps from IT like you did in the past. I've had some great times in these maps. I'm unsure why kovulkd didn't consider placing these in as a extra in the first place.
