ah, yes, 'tis spottedbears!

welp, i return from the depths of TGF to say, hello! i, hopefully, will be more active on the forums- though.. most of my time on forums is spent at the great forest's website, aha. yes. that roleplay has sucked me in too deep and i will never escape-

anyway, just a lil' update on me if anyone's up for reading it:
hi! for those of you who don't know or remember me, my name is spottedbears, or, spot if you want to call me that. i joined back in august, 2011, with the username cara867. since then, i've transferred from that, to birdi, and finally, i am here. i love to watch red vs blue, RWBY, spongebob(my life is filled with spongebob references), legend of korra, and over the garden wall (even though it's a miniseries! dude, it was awesome). my 'main character' is a warrior cat by the name of Ravenstorm, i've drawn her about 28479206827 times.. yeahhh. [whistles]. speakin' of drawing, i absolutely love to! i've been drawing seriously since the 5th grade, and i'm in 8th grade right now- yeah, 13. whoa. how young am i, right? probably not. anyway, here's somma my art (a bit of this is a little old, and looks wonky) :

update 2/27/15! i know this is old, but it contains a bit of incorrect information and i decided to update it!
i know there have been many topics about this, but since i thought i've had lots of experience i decided to add some of my own information.

in this guide, you will learn:
> how to create a character from a real-life picture in FH
> how to write a character biography with the right information
> what words to describe a character with, and what not to
> how to roleplay your character

in that order is how it'll work.

first off, how to create a character from a real life picture in FH.

i like to start with the question: what kind of character am i looking for? unique, common, or just a pretty character? canine, or feline? scarred, or untouched? masculine or feminine? i like to keep many photos for inspiration in a folder, or somewhere on the web. i have a few currently in my tumblr likes, so here let's pick a few:

since i think i want to go for a pretty, young, and basically innocent character, i am going to choose the second picture. how do we make this cat in feral heart? well, first off if you have a paint program like GIMP, Photoshop, Paint tool SAI, or some other program [perhaps even MS paint] you will need a "dropper" tool, or more commonly known as the color picker. so, since i have SAI, i'll do that.

so, now that i have 4 colors, for the eyes, nose, base, and markings, i can begin making her in feral heart! you will need to find the RGB numbers of the colors you choose after you have them. you may have to change the colors a tiny bit due to the tint of lighting and such. since my character is a cat, [these are my personal preferences but they are quite common. don't worry if you want to use them] i will give her neko ears, a rounded tail, and make her all the way thin. the height should be more than the length and width. muzzle and chin at the very least, nose at the most. since she is going to be an innocent/young looking cat, i will give her big eyes.

i have finished making my character! while you are making them, you might have to tweak the chosen colors a bit to follow with the picture - not all is correct, even taken directly from the photograph.

next up: how to write a character biography with the right information.

since someone asked for it on that old thread, i thought i'd make it. there are probably going to be other mods here if i get into making them.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: INTERFACE MOD
this modification features a Naavi as your mouse, as well as mostly grey tones for the boxes and text areas. the icons/images for the buttons are various objects from games, like the hylian shield, a rupee and the master sword. the loading images are concept arts/fanarts from and for the game and none of them i claim as mine.

haha jk but here goes?

1. hunting!! i know this has been mentioned before BUT:
maybe, there could be options that let us put hunting in private maps however you can only hunt in private maps! like, you can turn on/off an option to let someone hunt. it would probably divide the community a lot however, so i'm not too big on this idea.

2. ranks!! name colors!! in groups, i mean
so, people put tags and such. but what if we could color our names to the color of our packs/groups? also, ranks! we can set group ranks that are viewable as a tab so like the group is a chart. as well as you can also switch admin(of the group) permissions! and allow other people to edit the bio and such.

3. general.
not bringing it back, but taking it off the chat list? because i saw a few people that talk in general but it comes out as local and they say "wow, general is quiet!!" but then.. people tell them it's gone and they seem kinda sad, or confused. one person yelled at another person and called them dumb : /////

Game Discussion / "illiterate"

okay so i was hanging out by the stone bridge, and someone started being rude and talking about how they got banned once. and they were harassing the other members, so i asked them to please stop. when they didn't, they continued on about that they'd been banned before. so, then i said "please don't break the rules, you can get banned."

next, someone else told me not to discuss bans in game. i'm very confused? i wasn't, i was just saying that he should watch what he says. and then the rude person started talking about how he was banned once and he had been doing something bad, etc. that's when i got mad. note, i didn't rage and yell, i asked why he didn't get yelled at and he said "It's I. I'm. You're. You need to use proper grammar." and i got reaaally mad.

so what i'm saying here is, do you think people judge others based on how they talk? i've been playing this game for 3 years and they thought i didn't even know anything, thought i just joined. i'm just very mad, because i don't deserve to be treated like i'm stupid. nobody does, young old, new, smart, dumb, or not. i'm pretty sure they do, and i'm probably going to send a report about this person later, but really? i'm pretty mad at this person.
