people actually get offended by those who role play as characters of a gender differing from the one who's playing it??

all of my characters are of different genders so yeah

You shouldn't call another person's character dumb, by any means. How would you like it if people called yours hurtful and/or offensive names? We're all friends here, so hopefully this will not happen. However there is nothing wrong with being different, because technically, we're all different in our own ways. Just because there may be a neon character in a group of realistic wolves does not mean they're absurd.

i apologize for being harsh with my opinion, and honestly, if people referred to my characters hurtful or offensive terms, i would understand that some may just not like my taste and that's fine. i'm not trying to be snide here, because i know that others can be a bit rude with how they state their opinions, and that's just how people can be - me being one of them from time-to-time.

however, at no point did i say there was anything wrong with being "different", as i was saying that it's absurd to think the reason why people dislike sparkle-creatures is because they are "different". there is absolutely nothing wrong with being different. i am afraid you were misunderstood there.


however, on another note, i have nothing against sparkle-creatures, it's only that i simply do not prefer them.
not my cup of tea, as it was.

okay, before you try and attempt this again, make a backup of your feral heart folder!! make sure to place the copy in a safe place, so you won't have to uninstall everything again and you'll have all the original files at the ready.


nevertheless, the only reason i can think of why the mass markings & items isn't working is because you may not be installing them correctly, or a crucial file is being deleted in the process.

for your ease, here is how i installed mass markings & items on my computer (i use windows 7, so the locations of the folders will vary) as this worked for me.

mass markings
1. drag and drop all the contents from the 'textures' folder you downloaded into the pre-existing folder, found here: C:\FeralHeart\media\textures
2. drag and drop the markings.cfg file you downloaded into the main feral heart folder, found here (when prompted to replace the existing file, click 'yes'): C:\FeralHeart

items
1. drag and drop all of the items (including the textures, materials, meshes, etc.) you downloaded into this folder: C:\FeralHeart\media\items
2. drag and drop the items.cfg file you downloaded into the main feral heart folder, found here (when prompted to replace the existing file, click 'yes'): C:\FeralHeart


i hope this helped, if this didn't work then i'm not exactly sure what else is happening.

i'm seeking new fur textures/masks for both the canine & feline models to replace the defaults, and i've done some searches and i couldn't find any i liked - or any at all, for that matter. that being said, i would appreciate it if some of you using could perhaps post your favorites along with a download link. c:
