(Gosh I'm late for the partyyyy)
Franchessca / TricheurThe soft noises of crinkling was the only sound that filled the dark room at the moment, caused by a figure seated on the bed, leaning back against the wall as she focused her attention on her left hand. The hand wraps that were usually there were undone and loosely hanging off her wrist as she inspected the various scars, all ranging from small cuts to what looked like burn marks. She ran her fingers over them, feeling the rough and uneven skin as she dragged her gaze up to stare at the wall.
Last night wasn't a good night at all, unlike the rest where she slept like a log. The first thing that bothered her was obviously the activation of their powers, but the second thing was nightmares. Unusual. Either way, it prevented her from sleeping and she opted to stay awake for the whole night, looking at her hands, playing with the bandages or just having a staring competition with the wall. She eventually regretted staying awake, but by that time it was too late and the whole block came alive with the buzzes and rings of alarm clocks. Franchessca frowned, blinking herself awake. Her own alarm clock lay on the floor in a corner, where she still had to get it fixed after accidentally using it as a punching bag. After a few more minutes of staring at the broken contraption, the youngster stifled a yawn and shook her head as a last attempt to keep herself awake, before quickly rewrapping her hands and reaching over to grab her cap and place it snugly on her head.
Her lips twitched up in a small smile as she patted the top of Ami's head, which had been laying heavily on her lap during the majority of the night. The canine immediately opened his eyes, sitting up to give Franchessca's cheek a generous amount of licks. She chuckled, allowing it for a moment before gently pushing her companion's face away and getting up, making a quick trip to wash her face in the sink before she went to the door of her room. Already, she could hear various voices coming from outside. Her hands landed on the doorknob, about to open it when something brushed against her leg. She hesitated, glancing down at Ami, who seemed about ready to jump right out of the door. The french knew that many of the other people in this facility were downright terrified of canines, especially Ami - who reached up to her chest if he stood on his two hind legs - but she wasn't feeling quite compassionate today. And besides, the canine could drive away at least some of those people, since she wasn't in the mood to talk either. Shrugging, she opened the door, watching as Ami ran over to the room where the voices were coming from, though he slowed to a walk as he entered, glancing back to see if Franchessca was behind.
The teenager shut the door to her room before following the dog, walking slowly to the room and cutting her way through so that she could go the kitchen, but instead of getting a cup of coffee or eating something she simply slid into a random chair, kicked her legs up onto the counter without a care and letting her eyes shut for a moment. At least she wouldn't get in trouble for sleeping in, since she wasn't exactly in her room. And it was only for maybe 15 minutes. Couldn't hurt, right? For a while, she ignored the others and the small whine of her dog, who was wondering why she wasn't as energetic as always.
