Now it's roleplay and I sometimes try to spark a non-roleplay convo and I get one or two short sentences.
That's why I never roleplay and sit and watch others, I prefer OOC.

Hey, at least you got something. xD And that's pretty much all I do. May not be what I prefer, but it's all I can do since I can't get anyone to talk.

But don't give up on us, there are still some of us who remember the good old days ^_^

Don't worry. c: I wasn't planning on giving up. I did try Bonfire Island, actually. It was the first place I went to. From what I saw, it was jam packed and yet people were still trying to roleplay, lol... I'll have to go see the Northpole though. I'm also starting to wonder if getting on at a certain time of the day matters.

Game Discussion / Feeling a Little Out of Place Here
« on: April 06, 2014, 01:12:46 am »
I've just recently been getting back into FH. It's been a while, maybe a year or two, since I was last active on here. I noticed there's a lot more roleplaying now. Whenever I'm ingame, that's pretty much all it is. I remember there being a few areas where people would just chill out chat instead of roleplay, but now there's almost no OOC chatting anywhere. The other day when I got on, it kind of bothered me that no body would reply to me at all, even when the maps were packed with people.

I was trying to ask a few questions for input on how many people would be interested in this or that for character customization. I did have one person reply to me after a long while, but I feel like their reply kind of struck me down in a way and pretty much said "what you're making is useless because someone already made that." They were trying to be nice when they gave me their comment, at least. What they said just happened to really bothered me regardless of their attempt to be kind.

Anyway. It's been a long time. I feel like all this game is now is roleplaying. I'm not much of a roleplayer because I feel like my form of roleplaying isn't good enough, so to speak, and I'm also very shy. Upon mentioning that I don't roleplay ingame, I've been noticing posts around the forum naming groups of people "noobs" and "illiterates," labels I'm guessing that are being placed on those who don't roleplay (please correct me if I'm wrong). Well, I don't roleplay, and for my own reasons. I'd rather create things for other players to enjoy and help give them a better experience. Seeing these labels makes me think I'm being looked down upon ingame because I'm not roleplaying and trying to talk OOC.

Is there no place for people like me who just want to talk to others ingame or ask active players what they would like to have as far as objects, items, maps, and textures to enhance their roleplaying experience?

Btw, I also think the word illiterate, which is now apparently a label to be slapped on other players round FH like a sticker, is very much being used incorrectly... Please look up the definition of that word if you are confused about what I'm trying to say. I believe the word "non-roleplayer" would suffice for those who don't roleplay.

Game Help / Material Coding Help [SOLVED]

I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I apologize if I got the wrong board.

I've been having issues trying to get the effect I want with one of my materials for a mesh I made. I'm doing a reflective shine on the eyes that works just fine, but when I try to make it transparent to see the actual eye underneath, it goes all..weird. The only thing you can see through the eye shine mesh part is the ground and the sky. I feel like it has something to do with texture layering, but I really have no idea.

Here's an image to help you see what's going on.

And here's my material.

Nvm, I figured it out. Apparently the location where you install the game matters. I had to install it directly inside the C drive. I changed the install path to my program files folder the first time. Everything is working perfectly now.

I just re-installed the game and nothing changed. I uninstalled it before I re-installed.

It doesn't really look like a Graphic Problem. Has chu deleted any of the Feral Heart default maps? If so, you may need to download the game again.

I just barely downloaded the game and didn't mess with any of the files. I did actually check to see if any of the maps where missing. I have a total of 12 maps in FeralHeart > media > terrains > fhmaps. Nothing else seems to be missing either.

It seems you are missing some files in your Feral Heart folder. You may need to try to re-install the game again. Make sure when you are re-install the game to get ride of your previous FH folder so it dosn't interfere with the re-downloaded folder

Alright, I'll try this and see what happens.

I just downloaded the game onto my laptop. It appears to work just fine until I get past the login screen. I can't see anything at all besides the interface and my character. I've already tried switching between DirectX and OpenGL, there wasn't really any difference. I have no idea what to do in order to fix this. Here's some images if that helps.

Request/Find Meshes / Re: Need doe meshes!
« on: March 31, 2014, 08:34:53 pm »
It's been a really long time since I've been on Feral Heart. I'm noticing a lot of requests for animal and human meshes. Are these just to be used as objects for decorating the area in attempt to make it seem more realistic, for people to wear on their characters, or do they actually have creatures that roam around in game now?

I'm sorry if my question seems a little off topic to your post, but if you could give me an answer, I might be able to help you. Also, I'm not sure what buck mesh you're talking about, but I could probably make a doe from scratch for you.
