When it comes to these "rapes"... Wouldn't simply removing the "Buttswing" animation also be something to consider? If people abuse it so much, get rid of it and replace it with another action that's less likely to be used for "raping" characters. Wouldn't that be an easy way to decrease that kind of issue?

The "Buttswing" was causing those same problems in IT, so why it was ever added to FH is beyond me...

Ooooh! I shall be exploring this map for sure :P

Applying for Mheetu 8D

So, roughly:

Mheetu is a timid lion; he's often shy in front of strangers and doesn't like conflicts. At the same time, he idolizes Simba and wants to be just like him. In their cub days Mheetu would try and tag along with his sister when she and Simba went out on their amazing adventures as often as he could, but he was seldom invited and would more often than not be carried back to the den quite quickly "because he was too young to come". He always complained about this.

During Scar's reign, Mheetu was too young to be able to protect himself from the hyenas, or Scar, so he often needed rescuing and protecting, either by his sister or mother. This was very frustrating for him and he often cried over his own weakness. But it didn't matter how much he wanted to be the strong one... He vowed that someday he would be the one to protect Nala, but by the time Simba returned and defeated Scar, Mheetu had been broken down to a fearful little lion that wouldn't dare face up to such a conflict even if he was given the chance.

He still struggles with that to this day (...where in the timeline does the Makuu Kiwanja story begin?) and will always rather run away when faced with a problem. He knows that that is wrong, but he just can't bring himself to confront it; he is too afraid.

That said, Mheetu is a very kind and supportive young lion. He still idolizes Simba (even more after his heroic return) and will try to do whatever Simba does. If asked to help out with something, Mheetu will also always do his best to be of assistance (as long as it doesn't involve danger).

I have many years of RolePlay experience (a whole... *counts* five or six years?), particularly Lion King RPs and I was also a Moderator of a long-running Lion King RolePlay site for several years. However, I'd rather demonstrate what my posts look like, so here's a snippet of a post from a recent RP I took part in, where I played Mohatu -

"King Mohatu's sleep had been troubled. With this draught and all the problems it was causing, it was difficult for the King to get some real rest... The river had dried out and the water hole was shrinking by the day. The green grass was gone and the trees were losing their leaves. If no rain came soon, his kingdom would be in the middle of a truly terrible disaster and this troubled the lion greatly. His beautiful Queen did her best to help him, but every night Mohatu fell into deep thought and the more he thought about his trouble, the greater it became. Every morning he awoke hoping that by some miracle the rains would have returned, but every morning he also awoke to the same disappointment. And the herds were getting tired and thirsty. They looked to their King for guidance. What to do? He had an idea, but wondered if it could really work..."

I would like to play Mheetu in this RolePlay because I realised I've never really thought much about his personality before and this would be an excellent opportunity for me to develop my version of him. And developing characters through RolePlay is what I have found to be the best way of doing it :P

I would be online mostly in the evenings, since I get home late from work, and my time zone is GMT-0 (since I've heard that that matters, hah).

Forgetting me there, Kanu. :P I still have screen shots of that first login session we had. XD They're rather hilarious, I must say. :P
Oh, yeah, how could I forget xD Yes, they were =P

If I remember correctly, that session started out with only Kov and Sheek, then I joined and then you joined too :3 IT sure was less busy in those days XD

I was on IT from the very very beginning, before the real multiplayer even worked xD I think Sheek and I were two of the first people to connect online and chat with Kov through the multiplayer =P

Hehe, good to see that someone agrees xD

And oh, yeah, one more little detail that I don't know if it's been mentioned before - the "pitbull ears".

Those are actually not pitbull ears, they are cropped ears. A pitbull's normal ears look like this: http://pitbull.vacau.com/web_images/pitbulldog.jpg

And because, yes, I am picky about details or this thread wouldn't be here =P I would like them renamed to "cropped ears", as that would be the correct name for them.

For the Minnimap Thing. This is because in IT it was possible to find ppl too easy. So only Group-Members and Friends are shown on there.
Ah, I see. That makes sense *nods*

For the Chat, you can hide it by clicking the litle Star and Name Tags you can switch off in the Options.
Yes, I know, what I meant was that I think doing that takes too long :P And it's just a little thing, surely, but for me it adds an extra hassle to taking screenshots the way I want them, where in IT it worked wonderfully.

Kov has made Bonfire small because.. he seriously hoped that players wount stay there LOL. Thats why in the Tunnel is a Waterfall which you cant climb back up.
Aha :P So far it doesn't seem to work that well, so if it stays like this maybe he'll have to rethink it xP

Yes :P

I have a few technical critiques, if anyone cares to hear them.

- My first and foremost issue is that you can't see the gates/portals on the minimap. It's very frustrating if you're trying to get to a specific map and you don't know the lay of the lands, so to speak ;_; I spent over 15 minutes yesterday just running around looking for a certain gate and that gets old very quickly. On IT you could see portals on the mini maps, which was a very neat feature, so this feels like a downgrade on that matter. Sure, it's cooler perhaps to actually know your way around without having to use the minimap, but what then is the minimap for? Wasn't that the reason why one was put in IT in the first place? xP

- Similar thing, you can't see other players that aren't on your Friends list on the mini map any more either. This is also a bit of a shame, since then you don't know where the other people are. It could also help for people with lagging issues to know where a crowd is so that they can avoid them if they want.

- A minor thing, but it's bugging me slightly anyway; pressing Tab won't hide Chat window and name tags any more. I'd like at least some shortcut to hiding name tags, as I usually don't want to see them on my screenshots and, by the time I've pressed Esc, gone on Options and looked up and clicked the "Show name tags" box, the screenshot opprtunity might be gone xP A way to hide the menu buttons at the bottom would be neat as well, for screenshot purposes.

- It also strikes me how small Bonfire Island is. I always get lots of lagging there, because so many players are gathered in such a, relatively, small area, and it's a little troublesome to have that be the starting map. I would like to suggest a larger default map?

And I think those were the major ones. Just little things, but they bug me D= Otherwise, of course, nice work, staffers! C:

Also no mean comments, please; this is the Opinions board and these are my opinions.
