Game Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Suggestions for Improving the Player Experience
« Last post by DylanCheetah on November 16, 2025, 06:10:51 pm »I think both suggestions are actually really good ones! While Dylan is right that the 'Play Game' tab was created as a security feature, and contributes ads to pay for the servers, it would be really nice to see that go away.
It has been brought up before and I think improving QOL for players will help bring people back to the game. Ads aside, it's a bit tedious to log in to the tab and then log into the game. If the page must stay, perhaps make a way for the login to transfer to the client. (For example, the emufer.al server is run off discord and after logging in through that opening the client doesn't prompt another log in.
I also think the mini-map system could be redone to be better. If the map can track friends/the player there should be a pretty easy to way add an overlay marker to portal locations which would be sooo nice for navigating. Add in that you can see which maps have players actively in them is nice! I think most people hang in TG because its the first place that is populated and with the lowered population of the game, people might not branch out to see if others might be in other maps (as they usually are empty anyways). Adding in a player count to maps might help with shifting players to other locations instead of just TG.
Some other features that would be nice: making the group feature more like a guild feature. Allow for there to be an in-game hierarchy which allows for multiple people to run the group and recruit people instead of just the group owner. Juggling a recruiter account is tedious and it would be much better to have "officers" who can run that kind of thing. It would definitely improve in-game group maintenance which might persuade some people to utilize in-game RP more.
Discord uses OAuth2. There are multiple 3d-party games which use OAuth2 to log in such as League of Legends. To put it simply, such games open a browser window to a login page which sends an access token to the game client after a successful login request. And if the user is already logged in, then the login page automatically sends the access token to the game client with no user intervention. It would need to be discussed with the rest of the development team and researched though. Normally the page shown after logging in doesn't have to remain open, so it would need to be done in a slightly different manner.
Impressive Title had the portal locations marked on its minimap, so there's no reason why FH couldn't. Same with the number of players in each map.
Adding some sort of permissions system to groups could be possible. It would need to be discussed with the rest of the development team and researched ofc.
