trouble with height map and terrian mask

i tried donig what shadows said and i watched te tutorial videos ....again but still when i  type in the name it says the file filenameterrian.png can not be found! and for the mask it just only does one little area and the rest of the map is black plz help me

basicly i created the hieght map in gimp at grayscale and height and width was 513 and i used a grey for the backround thing and black and white under its approprite catergories and i saved thefile as a .PNG image and i called it this "tutorial.terrian.png" and i pressed save. for the terrianmask i used the three proper colors pure red pure blue and pure green and of corse i saved he file as a .PNG image and i called the file this"tutorial.mask.png" and i save it

then when i go on FH and click map maker i go striaght to the thing where i type in the height map and terrain mask but when i type in tutorial.terrian.png it says the following "the file tutorial.terrian.png could not be found!" and then i get frusrtated and try it a million times and as for the terrian mask all it does is accept it but not really accept it it doesnt say file could not be found but instead the ground has two colors black and the default setting when i change the 1rst one to the one i want it as it has no problem but when i go to choose my second color it goes on top of the first one i try redoing everything a million times but there is just no luck for me -.- than u for ur time...

When you start it in GIMP is your Image size 513 by 513? Also your hight maps has to be in "Grayscale". Your Mask should be in RGB Color
When I save a file I save the name like this;  "mapname.terrain" and pick it to save as a PNG file. (It puts PNG at the end of the file in map maker so it knows what file type it is)
Also the color codes for the diffrent terrains on a Mask is; 1 color= Pure Red ~~ 2 color= Pure Green ~~ 3 color= Pure blue (i am not should what 4 5 and 6 colors is.)

If you dont understand that, I would look at this video, its wher I learned how to make hight maps.

Sorry that I did not provide any help. But when I save my hight and mask maps, I put them in my map folder.
feralheart-media-terrains-"mapfolder"     I often save it in there, i am not sure if that makes a diffrence. I hope you can get your masks and hight maps to work.

They just have to be somewhere in the terrains folder.

Make sure it's spelled correctly, and capital letters and periods are where they belong.

i already tried that i un-installed everything and i rememberd to take all the other maps and preset(s) but i gorgot the one i created and i have to re-create it any ways XP

EDIT: i would still like if someone helped me all though i have to recreate((this will be the first map i will save and finish if i get it done because all the others failed))
