That's probably one of the weirdest things I've heard in a while.
So you're telling us that you write in the password for the game, and it freezes everytime you does this?
Have you tried just waiting on the menu and see if the game freezes even though you leave the fields blank? cause the game shouldn't freeze when just writing into it.
The only way it would do this would be if you pressed some weird keys to write in your password. In that case it would be the password alone or they way your keyboard acts when you write these things and maybe open up some command that freezes the game.
I would suggest you the most basic things
Try to change the rendering submode inside the options menu/video tab. restart the game and try again. If that doesn't help. Uninstall the game completely, reinstall it with new installers.
Still no luck, create a new account.
The game shouldn't freeze just because you're writing a password, it doesn't have to load anything special by doing this, and the menu is already loaded.
