Laboratory 27 (An experiment RP) (Open and Accepting XD)

"Thanks for the compliment," Beck sneered, taking every word from the other's mouth as the contest he had spoken of, "Though if you were trying to charm me you might need to say something better than that." The teen turned his gaze to the steely walls around him. Even with the lamps turned on the room they were all being held him still felt like the dark and gloomy prison it was. The temperature didn't help at all. He took a step to the side and leant his back agaisnt one of the side walls, right leg lifted so his bare foot was planted firmly on the same wall his back was and he appeared to be slouching.

He didn't know the other was still watching him, so hadn't returned his gaze back to the other teen. His right hand fiddled with the chain belt as he leant back so as the back of his skull touched the metal wall. He closed his eyes and swallowed, trying to figure out what to do. Bored, he pushed off the wall with his foot and turned so that his right side now leant against it. He was facing the bars and looked out, scanning over the other occupants of the room. He scowled; they all seemed pretty boring so far except this Lance character. "Well Lance," he looked to the boy, drawling out his  words, "At least I won't be completely bored here."

"I don't recal stating I was okay with this," her voice was calm though a sharp pang went through her as the one named "Lance" made the accusation. "I'm sorry to say, but yes, you'll be caged up and observed like wild animals." This was directed to the male who had asked her the question.

Shifting her body a bit, she was now faced away from the lamp but her eyes were on the clipboard, her hand scrawling yet more notes on the pages. She had noticed the "snow leopard" shift back into human, and she was writing down how she seemed able to shift back and forth without a problem.

"I'm sorry this happened to you," it was a poor attempt to try to make things better, which she had a huge doubt would have any affect on them. She didn't blame them, just look what they were going through already. But it was the only thing she could say, and she herself had no right to defend herself. She despized herself for even being here.

  Danielle sat in the corner of her cage, away from the bars. Kitty? Had this guy actually called her that? She didn't approve already. Kitty was... A name you woud call some blonde bimbo or something, and that most certaintly wasn't her.
  "The name is Danielle not... Whatever you just called me."
  She looked to the scientist.
  "If you really felt so sorry you could at least give us a meal that isn't disgusting."

"The food is actually made by excellent chiefs," Sarah answered Danielle's question, her eyes flicking up to the female. "Mind they aren't the best there is, but their talents are good enough. What's happening is that your starting to develop more into your animal form. Your taste for food is beginning to change to what your animal likes rather than the other way around. What this means, though, I can't be sure yet."

Raising a hand, Sarah brushed back a stray strand of hair, closing her eyes for a moment. Then she reopened them, and continued, "I'm afraid it's time for me to be on my way. You are free to chat with each other," this was mostly to the newcomers, "and finish eating. If the normal human food doesn't seem to taste right, I suggest at least trying to eat the second bowl. Then you all will soon have your hour excercises." ((What time of day is it?))

With that said, Sarah went to the door, opening and closing it behind her, and began her treck down the hall. It wasn't long until she came to another door (after making several twists and turns through the building, a clear map firmly glued into her mind), where she immediately opened and stepped inside.

"Hello Professor Vex," Sarah greeted the scientist. "How are things coming along?"

Beck leant against the cage, listening as the woman spoke and trying to take it all in. It was definetly the work of some sick minded people, he thought as he heard her explaining the food situation over. He rolled his brown eyes and loosened the muscles in his legs so that he slid down the wall into a sit, though he still leant there. He leant back, eyelids shutting.

He wondered when he was going to get this injection most of the others in here seemed to have recieved, and also what animal he'd turn into. Maybe it'd go wrong and he wouldn't turn, or maybe he wake up from this nightmarish scenario before anything further happened. He cringed at the thought of being injected by some experimental substance. He wasn't keen on recieving jabs, so the thought of involuntarily having one was horrible. The needle might be thick and painful. He groaned and put his head in his hands. He was so screwed.

Lance

Lance gave a smug laugh and slowly raised his head. "I will try harder next time Beck," He said winking before quickly adding. "I'm joking," The youth noticed the large lump of the side of his hip and plunged his large hands into his pockets. Lance had a 'thing' for pockets, constantly ramming things in there like it was a large rucksack, though it seemed smaller than before. He popped a piece of gum into his mouth, then threw one to the leopard girl and Beck. "Well Lance, at least I won't be completely bored here." Said the shoeless figure next to him. "I'll take that as a complement..."
 
Lance watched the woman outside the cage making notes with narrowed amber eyes until the leopard girl introduced herself as Danielle. He turned to her and gave a small smirk, "Is that so Kitty?  Danielle seemed to dislike his nickname for her. Lance sighed and decided to stop tormenting her, after all he had pleanty of time to do that in the future. "Okay okay, Danielle," He lent up against the bars again.
 
The woman explained the situation and Lance listened early. He didn't say anything she began to walk away. "Really?... If you were sorry this happened to us you wouldn't be doing this would you!!?" He yelled, his voice more like a snarl than anything. The boy turned her back to her. "They are just like everyone else...nothing heres new," Clearly she didn't know what he was talking about...then again nobody did.

"Treated like garbage because you're different," Beck commented more to himself than anyone else, looking up. He reached for the gum and put it in the left pocket of his jacket. He was, of course, referring both to how he was judged by the way he dressed and the many disgusted looks people had given him when he had been living on the streets prior to being picked up, "The world's just full of scum."

He glared at the woman's retreating figure, boredom knawing at his mind. He'd been awake for barely five minutes yet he couldn't stand it much longer. He turned his gaze to the girl, Danielle, who had just transformed back into a human. "Say," he drawled, "How long's it 'till we get le' out of 'ere for a bit?"

Even if it was only for an hour, surely going somewhere new would at least be amusing for a while. Plus, he'd have the chance to properly stretch his legs.
