That seems like a sure-shot way to help our poor pc's and crash suffered rps. However, I tried it and had some trouble. The first few times I clicked on it(the FH icon on my desktop) Nothing happened. I waited for long but still nothing. Then, a little later, when I tried again, a black dialogue box opened, like the DOS ones, and it said, "Invalid "Affinity"".

Now I did Check my dxdiag box as well, and it clearly stated two CPUs. Help? Should I post a screenie of something?

Real quick question! Does our information (the dxdiag) have to be the same as yours?? xP

Certainly not. The only thing that matters is what's highlighted, and not even that has to be exactly the same, all that "was" needed was several physical cores.

However though, this method I do not think work properly anymore after a few patches that arrived last year, the only thing that does matter now is actually the priority of the task you set, not the affinity, cause it seems like whatever you set it to, the game will ignore it.

But if you still use the high priority option, your game might run slightly faster since it would put the priority on the game instead of other possible programs that runs at the same time.

Can always remove the affinity line, and just set it to high priority.
