How do I get Particles to to work?

Okay, so I was wondering if I could use some particles of IT. But I just can't figure out how to get them to work. I copied the .particle file and the texture into the partciles folder for FH, but when I go to Object Maker > Effect Maker > Particles, and type in the name, it always says that it can't be found. Did I do anything wrong? /:

There are .MATERIAL files that you need to copy for them to work.
Particles need a material file to use the picture to make the particle work!

Are the .material files the ones that are also in the Particle folder or are there other ones I need?
And what exactly do I have to write in the Particle Bar to get them?

The .MATERIAL files should be in the particle folder. They won't necessarily have the same name as the particles though.
It's depending on the particle your trying to load.

I copied, for example, the Firefly.particle file, the firefly.jpg image and the particles.material and put them into my Particles folder. But when I go to Object Maker > Effect Maker > Particle, and type in 'Firefly' it won't show up. It alway says that it cannot be found..

I don't think the fireflys one is inside the particles.MATERIAL file. There should be other .MATERIAL files in that folder.

Ugh, I can't find any .material file for the Firefly. But there one that contains Firefly, but it's not working either.
