I agree with all of the points above except for the map issue. I was in an RP group for about five months straight and we were mapless and always had a circulation of people to play. We had an inner group that was always around. The only reason it fell apart was because one of the main characters died and because people had acquired busy lives again. Plus, not all members in an RP can download maps for example I know I can't. I'm finding more and more difficult to find longterm RP's now for my characters and I find that quite troubling. Even if an RP says it's longterm, it generally only holds together for a day and this is making the game much less entertaining.
It seems that everyone good from the community is running off to private maps to avoid the illiterates.
