Changing water material/texture?

Okay, so I need help. I need to make a swamp part in a map I'm making, but it didn't look like a swamp when I used the "normal" water. So I was wondering if there's a swamp material for the water or how I can make one.
Oh, a material/texture that makes the water look like liquit lava woul be fine as well.

If you know how I can do that or where I can get materials/textures like that, please tell me step by step what I have to do with them. Thanks
