New Chat

We all know General Chat is intended for advertising rps and finding others, but now it's overcome with people who just chat normally or spam on there that should belong in local chat. (I'm also not sure if someone already posted this idea, so I'm sorry if I stole your thunder D:)                                                                      

Frankly, I actually just did that not too long ago, so I'm guilty as charged xD

I know we're not supposed to do that, and a lot of people do seem to get annoyed by it. Not only that, there's plenty of people trying to advertise as well, but it usually drowns in the nonsense of general with or without the mod around.
So, I was wondering, should we add a new chat? Just like general where others can read your text, but may or may not see your character, basically like a typical chatroom. However, this chat would separate 'normal' conversations from advertising, which can allow rp-seekers to turn off the 'bothersome senseless chatter' but can still read the advertisements people post and vice-versa. Better yet, maybe can this new chat be in purple text instead of general's boring light green color as well?

What do you think guys? Is this a good idea? 8D

Yeah, a purple advertise-chat would be good!
But it seems like Kovu does not look into the forums very often. So I doubt that we will get this. -.-

Actually, I meant that the new chat mode should be in purple for people who want to spam or talk about random things.

The advertising is already in general chat which is in light green. xD

Or we could do the reverse with Purple General chat & a Light Green Randomness chat. That works too.

I support this idea, but as mentioned kov might not see this thread.

However, you must keep in mind, that if such a chat would be put inside the game, there would still be limits as the chats have today. Swears and caps spam would still be a no go xD

I read your post Red, and I absolutely agree with you! There should be a second chatbox for that World Chat idea! 8D

Sadly, I keep thinking at the back of my mind that even if we added a new chat (Before I read your post, I personally  wanted to call my new chat idea: "Troll Chat", but yours sounds MUCH better xD), wouldn't the trolls keep coming back to general?

Because, they want so much attention, why would be on a chat that people turn off 24/7 (which would most likely happen to the new chat) than be on General where everyone has it on?

Even if they were to break the rules, the mods aren't going to ban every single person who breaks that rule. So much of the mods I've seen aren't strict enough in my opinion ((except for the mod in Temple. Sid got told off finally 8D)) and people are very stubborn to sticking with general. I've seen a couple of people who actually dared to backtalk a mod O.o

I just recently thought this (I hate my ever-so-smart conscience >.<) and now I think both yours and my idea for a new chat would be useless, because then, there would be more fighting about where to "troll." xD

Unless this new chat somehow works and people are put in their place more often...life would be SO much less hectic in FeralHeart 8D
