Hunting for sport, or for hanging a head on your wall, is not a necessity to survival.
Once, I was reading this book about a girl who could mentally speak to animals, and she could sense a deer's distress. She went to it in the woods and saw a young calf nudging its mother who was laying on the ground. The mother's head was cut off and a bunch of hunters were driving away in a car. The poor baby thought that its mother was just sleeping and wouldn't wake up. D': The girl took care of it, though, a long with her dog, three horses, and falcon lol. She had to hide one horse, the dog, the deer, and the falcon from her mom, though XD Anywho, it just shows that animals have feelings, too, and killing animals without having to should be a criem taken as seriously as murdering a person.
