lack of space but ....
"my other computer....what do i do after i get my group music list into map maker and from there into exporting into a file to share with friends??."

alright..i know i posted a topic of this the other day but i need to get this solved so i don't destroy my laptop hahaha

alright so i was able to make a custom group list in the FH..music.cfg file...and where do i go from there once i put the music name in the "music/group name(thing) in the map maker window and saved it...i exported the map out, figuring the music automatically went along with it...i used my laptop as a test for my map downloads from teh main computer..and once i got the downloads and such done..i went into that map and there was no music in existance in there..so i rarely take a look on the files i downloaded and i see there wasnt' some sort of music/sounds file that went with it..that there is my problem, how do i get the music group i created on my side into the files to be exported again?? i would very much like this to be a simple solution and thank you for helping..or just read hahaha

*oh yes, i forgot, the mp3 files only were able to play once they were in the Sounds folder and not music, but all played when i tested it out..*

if you are chosing to help me out, i will only ask when you do is to be very specific hahah if that isn't too much to ask

Thank you again,

-wolfshae

and i can't wait to see if its only a 1-2-3 step process on my side hahaha

Hm. Did you place the full file name, including the .mp3 extension? And what do you mean it played when in the media/sounds directory? Was it pointing to media/sounds or media/music?

What are you planning on doing? Making the map have music or change the game's music?

In that case, you shouldn't mess with your game's music.cfg. You just go on the Map Maker, put the music you want in Sounds, and type YOURFILENAMEHERE.mp3 in the Map Music textbox.

I understand that part,I can get music to play on my mapmaker(test) but idk how to share it with others after I export it, and place it to an compressed folder, if I want others to hear the music also..what do I do to help that??

For others to listen to the music, you need to give them the .mp3 file and tell them to put it in "media/sounds".

Ok...but its more than one .mp3 song that's in the map..a group list, I got the .mp3 files in the folder, I need to know how the other people can get it to play on their pc, after they download the file with the mp3

Well, I really don't know how to add more than one song. I usually just create a mix of all of them in editing suites, but if it's a multi-song map, I really don't know. I'll see if I can find out about the matter.
