Hey guys! Just a question but how do you make Ravines, hill, dips in the land ECT? I'm makwing a pack map and need help with this! I know this probably is in the wrong place (:X) but I really need help!

The darker color gray or black you get, the deeper the ravine, river, pond, etc.  The lighter colored gray makes hills and bumps.  White makes the highest mountains, hills, etc.  If you want to make a mountain, and if you want to be able to climb it, I would consider layering around it multiple times, getting slightly darker as you get farther away from the mountain.

A few warnings, don't use text (it creates a layer that somehow corrupts it in the game), and I believe the only programs you can use to make it are Photoshop or GIMP (GIMP is free, google it). And as Brittany said, make sure you keep the colors a gentle mix if you want to be able to climb them. The more contrast, the steeper the height. Also, blur tool is your friend, it helps it mix nicely.

Use photoshop or GIMP i know that gimp is free and i think photoshop cost money

Photoshop is rather expensive. XD But do not use MS Paint! I heard it doesn't work well. Plus it had no friendly neighborhood blur tool.

Yes, I make my maps using Gimp, and it's really easy to learn how.
