When making the map, whether in Gimp or Photoshop or whatever you are using, it must stay 513x513 to work. To make the map bigger, go to tools on the game main page, then click map maker. Load your map and then click the 'World' tab. It will say width, height, and boundaries. Change the numbers around until your happy with the size.
