((That sounds pretty neat! I may join :3))
The silvered female had her eyes shut, trying to will sleep into her, but it never came. Thoughts kept whirling around in her mind, all different and clashing together. The flicking of her tail betrayed her feelings of irritation and annoyance, each time she tried pushing the thoughts down they sprung up again.
An ear perked upward, the sound of silent paw-steps approaching her. Somehow, she already knew who it was even before he spoke her name. So, he couldn't sleep either... she silently thought, eyes drifting open slowly but remaining fixed ahead instead of at the male. The asked question hovered in her mind for a moment, somehow not surprised that Xander had asked such a thing. At the mention of the female's name, the words "Lost Child" came back to mind, and Karma's eyes narrowed slightly.
"But I beg of you...Dont trust Xander...our packs blood still runs through...his body...one day he will snap...and if he does...wolves will fall..."
Those were some of the lasts words Kali had spoken of, and they replayed in Karma's mind. Xander had already shown signs that they were true, but even so the silvered female didn't believe it. And she wasn't about to tell the male that.
"Why don't you move on?" Karma at last spoke, breaking the silence between them that hung there for the longest time. Carefully she pushed herself upward, flinching slightly at her wound, and sitting upon her haunches. As if hesitant, her gaze did not look toward the male, the look he held before lingered in her mind and kept her from looking him in the eye. However, she took an inward deep breath, then shifted her maw so her eyes met his. "Why continue dwelling in the past? What's done is done, nothing can change that no matter how badly you want it to. What you can do is think about today and what you can do for the future, and decide for yourself who you want to be."
Karma's gaze turned away from Xander for a moment, looking ahead. Her tail (that had been flicking back and forth the whole time) wrapped itself around her paws, and there it staid. "You shouldn't forget the past, for there lie secrets and mistakes that make you who you are today and help you grow. But lingering there can corrupt you and make you forget to live in the present, ignore those around you that care about you." Once more Karma's eyes returned to the white-grey male, something deep in her eyes. They showed some sort of hidden meaning, as if she knew more about the subject than she let on. "There are times that someone you really want and even desire for their love and affection can never happen, they'll always push you away and continue thinking less of you. Eventually you'll just have to accept that, and learn to pull away and move on with your life. Do that, and something better will eventually come your way."
