FH Crashing once it opens. Help please!

Have you installed any mods lately? Maps, presets, equips, etc? Or have you accidently made any changes to the files? If not, then I suggest reinstalling. If you recently downloaded something, I suggest deleting whatever it was that you downloaded. If you've tried that and it's /still/ not working... Mmm. Try changing your render? I'm not entirely sure...

I've downloaded a bunch of objects and such to put in my map, and I've changed things around and put things here and there and replaced things and so on.

It was fine last night- which was when I did the most changing around, it's just today it's decided to go 'Nope, not gonna work."

I tried uninstalling it- except for everything in the My_objects folder (because I really don't want to have to restart my map) and reinstalling it, but it does the same thing.

I really don't want to have to delete absolutley everything because then I'll have to restard, find all the things I had gathered etc.. But, if it's the only way, I guess I'll just have to deal, hey?

Go into your particles folder.

Find particles with the name _01 _02 etc. Remove them and then try to run the game.

Otherwise change the rendering mode inside the ogre.cfg to the one you do not have selected at the moment, save the changes, start the game.

OKay, never mind.
I figured I mine as well just post here instead of making an entirely new thread because it's still got to do with the map maker.

So, I got it to work, re-made my hieght map, went into FH, Map Maker, typed it in and....Grey Screen (Not responding).

Oi. Oi. Oi. At this rate, I might give up. Lol.

Anyways, Crin, Red- any fixable fixes? I already tried the opening file and re-flattening it thing (there's this tut. on Youtube that is supposed to work, I tried it) and it didn't help either.

I'll shut down my computer, maybe it just needs a rest, but, again, fixable fixes? ; A ;?

make sure it's grayscale mode?

Also, if you know it's the heightmap, try turning the heightmap into a jpeg, save it, and then load the jpeg, save it back to a png and use that one.
