How do you make material files?
« on: January 06, 2012, 09:59:10 am »
Hello, now you might of read another topic of mine "Blender Meshes?" or something like that. Thanks to Ruby who answered my question i now know how to bring meshes into the game.
Now i need to know how do you create material files for them. I tried and failed, after exporting the mesh a material file appears also but in Notepad look nothing FH object materials. So if anyone knows how please let me know, i cannot have meshes one boring colour they need to have a texture. I textured them in Blender but still are one colour in Object Maker.

Thank you

Open that Mat, and then go into FeralHeart\media\objects and go into the rocks folder. Open rockMat and take the first code from that. Paste it into your new objects Mat, and edit it so where it says rockMat, its you new objects name. Then edit the image texture part so it says what you need it to.

Its still coming up as one colour. You change the code to the rock code but do u need parts of the original code too?
