FeralHeart = Virus?
« on: January 14, 2012, 02:19:24 am »
I just wanted to know if FeralHeart has a virus, because I downloaded it a few minutes ago, and it was working just fine. Now, whenever I try to play on it or try and click on something else on my laptop, it keeps telling me about viruses. So does it have a virus, or is my laptop just being weird?

Laptop being wierd. Possible that you have something else that is infected on it.

FH is clean, and if there's something up with it we'd deal with it right away. But it's not like we can ensure people that just because they have FH installed they will never get any viruses from their other internet usage really.

Norton is known to hate FH and give false threats overall if that's what you use.

Okay, thanks Red. I'm sure it was just my laptop acting up. It's an old one, after all.

I'm not sure if I should download FeralHeart. It looks like a really good game (I like games like WolfQuest), but I'm not sure if my computer would act up.

Game is safe to play, it all depends on computer requirements and capabilities.

I am 100% sure that it is clean! I had the same problem once. I got a virus when I accidentally clicked on an advertisement. Scrolled me down at the last second, probably meant for you to click it, and every time I tried to open a program, it would tell me it's dangerous and not let you open it, then it would only let you open the virus itself. (Since it downloaded something onto it) Luckily it is fixed. =D

Feral Heart doesn't have any viruses but the .exe file is an uncommon download so the anti virus programs think it is a virus when it is not

Psst, floof. While it's kind of you to try and help answer questions out here, always make sure you're not 'necroing' old posts. This thread ended back in May 2012- the issue is long passed, so let's make sure we let by-gone threads be by-gones.
Otherwise, this clutters the help boards and distracts from current issues.
