DO NOT READ (That means you, Pan!)
Day 1, late evening.
This is my first day alone. Not even my twin brother, Pan, has joined me. It has led to a most frustrating question that no one can answer. How does one find a pride?
It shouldn't pose a problem, you might think. I am a young male in the prime of my life, an adequate hunter, and incredibly intelligent.
Why should I be modest?
Why does Pan always complain? It's not my fault he's an idiot. He might delight in being the centre of attention, Mummy and Daddy's little gem, but I have the brains and my fair share of Grandmama's beauty.
Well what's left of it. Really, what is it with my family and scars? Mother's the only one who has managed to escape violence.
Hmm, she's also a lot more balanced than Mama Hepsut and Uncle Kali.
Insanity runs in the family, I swear.
Which leaves me very concerned. My parents' minds seem intact, but what does the future hold for Pan and I?
I look a lot like my grandmother, am I destined to go round the bend as well?
I wish I had company. It's incredibly lonely out here when you've spent your entire life with your twin.
