Height Map Problems
« on: January 16, 2012, 01:40:45 am »
I've done everything that everyone's told me on how to make a height map, and I made a new folder, called it FeralHeart, and made a 'terrains' folder in it. I'm not sure if I have to connect it to the game and if so, how? I saved it as -.png, put it 513 times 513 pixels, and I don't have a grey-scale setting on any of my digital art programs, so I only used shades of grey. When I saved it and tried to enter it on Height Map-World, it said it couldn't find my map. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!  ;)

You shouldnt need to make a FH folder it should be in Compaq C. Also you do need a program that would let you use greyscale mode, thats probably why its not working.

Try using GIMP its free and it has a greyscale mode.

Go to My Computer>>Compaq C>>Feralheart>>Media>>Terrains then save it in your map folder.

I don't have a "My Computer" option, and I looked at just "Computer," and searched through it, but I couldn't find any 'Compaq C.' I also searched up Compaq Connections, but no results came up.

Im sorry my mistake its in Computer not My Computer and no you wont find Compaq C by searching for it ive tried. If you cannot find Feralheart in Compaq C then you have probably installed it somewhere else. I had this problem before on IW so you might need to re-install it so the folder ends up in Compaq C, if you dont know how just ask.
