Character stuck in map?

Okay, I have a map which I use for my RP (which one of my members made) said member was having me test an update when i jumped into a portal and got a 'bad token' message. I go to log back in, click on he character go to start and it sits there forever loading until I get another message that says 'cannot connect to map server'

Half the time i cant even get in past the login screen. I've been trying for hours to get in and get my character out of the map but so far nothing I've done has worked.

What I've already done:
- Restarted computer
- restarted the game multiple times
- re-downloaded the game.
- deleted the map
- re-downloaded the map.

Still i cant get it to let me in. I just get the 'cannot connect to map server' message.

Please help, this is incredibly frustrating.

Try to create another character and enter it. I just helped. This may be due to the 'severity' maps. And your computer is not able to play this map.

Maybe you can also turn off reflections and view distance before entering. That ALWAYS helps me.

I don't think there is a way out if that keeps happening.
You will have to clone your character and put a II at the end of its name, so you know which one to delete.

I just don't want to have to clone my character. I'm trying to find a way around it if at all possible, since my stuck char is the leader of my group and without him I can't do anything with my group.

My computer always played the map before this point so im really confused. I can't even get into the map, I just jumped into the portal and then got a 'bad token' when I tried to go back in, I couldn't get past the 'loading' screen.

If your character gets stuck in a custom map the best way would be to remove the maps from your FH that holds this character(And actually make sure it's the CORRECT map(s)).

Once that's done you might be able to get your character out from a big black room  by just resetting your home and going home again. However, if that doesn't help, and you get stuck on a loading screen saying "Failed to connect to map server", and nothing changes within the first hours, you must actually wait for the server to be restarted which it can get sometimes several times in a day, sometimes there's a few days apart.

If your character would for some reason still be stuck after around a week it would just be odd. Patience as mentioned before. Server restarts usually fixes stuck characters depending on what kind of thing you were doing. But do not take this as an guarantee.

In worst case scenario you can always recreate your character of course.
