Author Topic: ~*(Solved)*~ Height Map help- How in SpiritPack's name does this work?!  (Read 1539 times)

I have tried everything- but still end up with the same results every time- File not found. Here is what I am stuck on-
-Making the height and mask maps
-Actually using them

I am having problems with the height maps I make:

What I've done:
~GIMP
~Created a Grayscale map with height textures
~Saved as SkyclipseTerrain.png
~Warped Skyclipse with 3 textures/masks of red, blue, and green
~Saved as SkyclipseMask.png
~Both saved at C:\FeralHeart\media\terrains
~Go on FH itself/tools/map maker
~Typed in SkyclipseTerrain.png for Terrain Alpha, and SkyclipseMask.png for mask alpha
~And then it ends up with- Files not found

That happened to me but i think i won't be much help.Well,i deleted the map i made,made a diffrent map,put it in terrians.BUT It was loading my map but the game crashed D:. Well im not much help but i think thats probably normal.

I'm still stuck with all of this stuff, I am a techo-in-training. Once I can figure out the computer, it'll help lol

1. Check its in Greyscale mode
2. The size must be 513x513
3. Only use one layer
4. Save it as a YOURMAPNAMETerrain.png in the Terrains folder maybe in the map folder itself perhaps? Save the terrain image before going on to the mask
5. Open a new window in RGB mode again 513x513
6. Can be one or two layers
7. Save in the same folder as the terrain as a YOURMAPNAMEMask.png

Check you have done these correctly.
Sometimes these things happen and starting again is an option that i sometimes take.
Will be inactive due to work and exams.

Thank you for your help! Right before I saw this, I realized I was looking in an extremely olf folder. So, I pulled up a random file number that came to my head and it was there. :D Thank again though! ^^
