Mountain Wolf Pack

Cassidy looked at the wolf in front of her and then at Jacob. She slowly pawed at his ear trying to be annoying to wake him up. She whined and stood up then paced from a tree to the den over and over. She looked nervous and scared. She didn't know what happened but she needed to find out. Maybe this wolf could tell her. She stopped pacing and looked at the wolf near Jacob and asked sweetly. "What happened to Jacob? I woke up in a den we were all in." She motioned to Logan as she spoke. "And I didn't see Jacob near me."

Josh sighed and stood up. "I think you guys got it from here. I'd better go find Lydia before this storm gets any worse." He started trotting off and stopped and told Logan. "You'd better protect them both. Looks like they can't live without you." He picked up his pace and started running slowly.

Logan sighed watching him go. He was a good temporary friend. It sounded like they had a lot in common. He looked over at Cassidy and flattened his ears as memories flooded his mind and he looked from Jacob to Cassidy, trying to deicide whether to go over or stay in his spot.

Lydia panted as she ran, but forced herself to keep going. The hail was falling faster now and the only thing Lydia didn't know, was she was heading closer to where the tornado would hit. She stopped and breathed hard a fast. She trotted over to a clean river and drank her fill. She realized she was getting hungry and she started trotting around looking for signs of food. She heard a rustle in a bush near her and she turned with no warning ad pounced on the bush, only to be sent back by a paw flying at her face. She hit the ground hard and stood up and shook then narrowed her eyes at the bush and saw what hit her. A cougar. She snarled and bristled her fur waiting for it to come all the way out of the bush. When the cougar stepped out, Lydia ran for it and leaped at it's throat trying to remember some tactics Josh taught her. She missed it's throat barely when it moved and swung at her. She turned in midair and snapped at it's eye. She missed once again and hit a tree. Her back hurt more then ever before. It felt as though one more step would break it. She got up her courage and stood up and leaped at the animal again. She stopped trying to kill it when she heard the meow of a pride. Her eyes widened and she turned and started running. The cougar she was fighting hit her back paw with it's nails and made her trip. Lydia yipped like a hurt puppy as her paw dislocated. She held it up off the ground, but ran at her normal speed.

Shadow slept happily warmed by her mates fur and soothed by his songs.

Dawn licks her pup and hums a lullaby she used to sign to her pups to help them sleep (when will Dawn see shasta again? and wouldn't it be a big twist is Dawn turned out to be Lightning's dead mother?)

Night hears his brother's howl but kept following May's scent. May growled as she walked threw the woods trying to calm down. She hears a howl but doesn't answer it. She curls up under a tree and tears falls off of her muzzle. Night howls to his brother when he found May crying under a tree. He rushed up to her and whined softly to her.

@Sierra Ginger is talking to Logan and Cassidy. Jacob is miles away from them in Dawns den. So Ginger is asking Logan and Cassidy to follow to go to Dawn and when they get to Dawn, Cassidy finds Jacob in Dawns den xD. @Animal_defender100 Sure, Dawn can be Lightning's long lost (thought to be dead) mother. ))

Lightning soon fell asleep. Rain poured down, the water trickled down the hills of the territory. The sky grew darker, the thunder let up a bit but it was still raining hard. Lightning flickered his ears and his tail swayed in his long sleep.


Jacob woke up, he saw that only Dawn and the pup was in the den. The rain poured, he saw mud puddles around the camp through the exit of the den. The den was warm, but the wind blew making it a bit chilly. He wished Cassidy was here, he thought perhaps she may be looking for him... Or she doesn't care at all and decides to mate with Logan... Jacob let out a big sigh. He stood up into a sit, his shadow sat beside him in the quiet den. He glanced at Dawn, his neck started to ache but he egnored the pain. At the moment he was looking at she-wolf who could end up being his mate is Cassidy doesn't like him.

(Oh XD) Cassidy nodded and followed the wolf, her heart pounding hard.

Logan stood up and followed Cassidy and the young wolf. He stopped and rubbed the top of his head and hurried to catch up with them again. (Josh is still trying to find Lydia though )

Josh found Lydia's scent. The scent was hours old and he had a hard time following it. He lost the scent near a river and he sniffed around more then crossed the river. He found her scent a few miles ahead and followed it. It smelled fresher over here then where he recently was. He stopped smelling a cougar scent right where Lydia's scent became the strongest. His eyes widened and a huge piece of hail hit next to him.

Lydia panted as she ran from the pride of cougars. If she tripped, this would be her last day. She perked up her ears hearing a howl. She continued running but accidentally slowed down as she howled back. When she was halfway through her howl, a cougar jumped on her back and she was sent sprawling across the green grass. Her beautiful howl turned into a savage growl. (Not meant to rhyme XD)

Josh heard the snarling and ran towards it. He found Lydia being attacked by a pride. He jumped on the pride leader's back and started ripping at his ear. The pride leader turned around and hissed as he tried to throw Josh off him. The other cougars ran at Josh and one grabbed him and threw him to the ground. They were about to attacked him, when a gun shot killed the pride leader and another hit Lydia's side.

Lydia yipped loudly and then lied her head down with no more movement.

Josh crawled to her and sniffed where the bullet hit her. A bullet was sent flying across the earth towards Lydia's head. Josh jumped in front of her and crouched down. The bullet hit his side and he fell beside Lydia. The pride stared at them and then backed up and ran.

Dawn howls to summon her pack and unknowingly Lighting and Shasta hear the howl

May hears her sister's howl but she stays. She growls at Night "go to your alpha now Night. I need time to think." Night nods and runs back to the den, but thinks about May. He whines when he enters the den, he looks at Dawn with sad eyes and goes sits in the corner where May sleeps. May sighs and closes her eyes falling asleep under a tree not noticing a male wolf was watching her with hungry eyes.

Ginger turned around heading toward her pack. She galloped in the feild and into a forest. She crossed over a log that was lying across the river like a bridge. The rain made ripples in the river. The water rushed, the water splashed against the log. Ginger quickly jumped to the other side. The she-wolf trotted down a hill and into another dark forest. She was about half a mile away from her territories camp.

Lightning perked his ears as he opened his eyes. He heard a familiar howl that echoed through the dark, shadowy forest. "Hello?" he whispered as if the wolf who howled could hear him. Lightning lifted his head up a bit, he tilted his ears more and kept listening for more howls. The rain poured, lightning struck, and thunder boomed a bit.

Josh groaned and slowly stood up. He looked at Lydia. He didn't see her chest moving at all. He limped over to her chest and lied down putting his ear against where her heart was. Her heart was moving very slowly. As slow as you normally blink. Josh sighed and stood up.

Lydia's paw twitched as blood spread across the ground. She muttered. "Thanks for saving me from that bullet that was gonna hit my head. G-Go warn the pack about the tornado."

Josh looked down at her. "I'm not leaving you no matter what, Lydia. What were you thinking coming out here by yourself?"

Lydia sighed as her heart began to stop. "I... Thought I would get the message to-to the Alpha that I wasn't kidding about the-the tornado..."

Josh put his ear against her heart and whined hearing it beat slower and slower. His own heart was beating slower also. He put his paw on Lydia's shoulder. "I'll see you in Heaven..." (Don't worry she won't ever die. Josh will help her before it's to late)

Lydia's heart stopped completely.

Josh's heart slowed down and he bit his shoulder and it sped up. He perked his ears getting an idea. He forced himself up and went over to Lydia's back and lied down then started nibbling on a pressure point only Lydia had.

Lydia's heart suddenly started beating again. Her eyes opened and she jumped up, turned and slashed at Josh, only to be stopped 1 inch away realizing it was her brother.

Josh looked up at her. He smirked. "How do you feel now?"

Lydia looked at him and blinked. "How did you know biting that annoying pressure point would help me?"

Josh sighed standing up. "I just knew. Come on, let's get out of the storm." He started walking towards a small den.

Lydia followed him, still confused.

Josh bit himself to keep his own heart going
